You had to rate at least one star--I wouldn't rate Blue Proton that high. I bought the Apple Ipod Shuffle from Blueproton through Amazon. I understood there was a 15% restocking fee if I didn't keep it. When I received it, it didn't work and I have written to Amazon twice as well as directly to Blueproton twice on how to return it. Blueproton never answered so I considered their customer service to be extremely poor and no longer wanted to do business with them. I returned it via returned receipt and contested my charge on the credit card. Blue Proton returned the package. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Blue Proton through Amazon. I had bought these two ipod shuffles for my fiance and my mom. My mom always wanted one for around the house and outside gardening. She love it when she got it for her birthday. My fiance love it when she got it for christmas because she now can have her favorite music with her all the time. They both are not into electronics and like how simple it is to use. However, they both needed help getting their favorite songs on them.
Key points FYI:
Must download itunes media player to sync with the ipod shuffle (Free, website given)
Can rip songs from CD's
Can add previous music you already own in mp3 and WMA formats.
Will convert from any other formats that it reconizes
Can download songs from the itunes store as well ($0.99 per song)
Itunes gift cards are sold just about anywhere they sell ipods ($15+)
(No use of credit/debit cards online)
240 song capacity is a lot for changing out different songs.(Not enough, get the 2GB ipod shuffle)
4 hours to charge but 12 hours of continuous play (just like it is
supposed to)
There are protective coverings(the aluminum is the best) out there for this device at Radio Shack for people like my fiance who has the tendency to break things she owns. (Must remove the covering, however, when charging so the ipod shuffle can fit into the docking station)
Overall, great gift or buy for anyone who is not into electronics but loves their music, as long as someone can set it up for them if they dont know how. The best smallest player out there giving the advantage for anyone who can take it anywhere comfortably.

As one of my concessions to the state of the environment, I now commute to work on Sacramento's Light Rail. It is crowded, noisy, and chaotic. Until I insert my purple iPod's earbuds. Pros:
-Georgeous! Sleek. Aluminum and not cheap plastic.
-Flash. You do not have to worry about shock and vibration compared to a hard drive.
-Interface. Like other Apple user interface, it is so simple to use. Not so many buttons to learn how to use.
-So small
-The clip is an ingenious feature in itself. You can clip to your collar, sleeve, hat, pockets... If you go to gym a lot or jogs, this is the perfect thing for you.
-The earphone that it comes with does not tangle very easily.
-Available in many colors
Cons:
-Itunes only. No drag and drop for your audio files. Although you can drag and drop files if you set it to use also as a storage device. You just cannot play the audio.
-There is no screen to see song titles.
-Proprietary dock (which comes with the player - do not lose it). You cannot plug it directly to USB.
