Digital camera reviews of Apple iPod shuffle 4 GB Black (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL

Digital camera Review: Most frustrating purchase ever
Summary: 1 Stars

While Apple felt the need to revamp the shuffle, they apparently did no product testing before releasing to the public. The headphones are lousy for athletes and did not work. I returned three of these units (I am a slow learner obviously) for the same reason each time which was that the remote control could not send the signals to the shuffle. I even bought 90.00 Sony head phones with controls that still didn't solve the problem. After months of messing with this piece of junk, I bought a Gen 2 on ebay.

Digital camera Review: My new workout partner
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had classics, shuffle, nanos, and iPhone...I love this little guy for workouts...it took me a couple of times using it to get all of the functions down. Now I don't have any problems switching songs, playlists, or increasing/decreasing the volume. I can clip it onto the back of my hat, helmet or shirt and within a couple of minutes I forget I'm even wearing it...if the music wasn't still playing I could has sworn it fell off.

Because the shuffle uses voice technology to select song or playlists, I found out that it is very helpful to create as many playlists as possible or even create a playlist for every album you put on the shuffle. This will help in choosing the song or album you want without trying to double click you fingers to death trying to find the song you want to hear.

This is a very good secondary iPod for activities that require you to keep your eyes focused on what you're doing instead of looking up songs.

Digital camera Review: NOT DURABLE

Sweat while running? Don't buy this MP3 Player. I have had many IPods, this failed after about 1month of use. Clearly case is insufficiently sealed.

Digital camera Review: NOT FOR WORKOUT
Summary: 1 Stars

I own an Iphone and since i started running a bit more seriously i decided to get a small Shuffle so i could have something more portable, etc.etc...

45 minutes into my first run, the thing shut down. 3 days later all it does is work as a USB memory stick. I went to apple and told them and they looked through a magnfier and told me the product got WET. I told them that all i did was run with the product, the guy looked at me and asked me "do you sweat a lot?".

Unbelievable coming from Apple, i own an iphone an 2 computers and love the brand, just cant believe that the product they promote for workout can get ruined in one single run. If apple wants to stand by their reputation, they should seriously consider a recall or extending guarantee with people with this problem.

Also to consider. The stupid thing is 80 bucks, my headphones are [...], but since you need to use the headphones they provide to use the remote, you are stack with the low quality, horrible headphones that come with the product. There is an adapter from Griffin, but then you need to buy an accessory. All easily solved if apple would have put a simple plug after the remote, to plug the earphone of your choice.

Digital camera Review: NOT ready for prime time--cannot use for running--sweat disrupts fuctions
Summary: 1 Stars

What a wonderful iPod--I think the best ever, but it is also the worst ever. This has to be designed for running, workouts, etc, but after 4 iPods and 4 headsets, I can tell you you had better never sweat. The headset is SO poorly sealed that today, on a first run with brand new Shuffle and new headset, after 15 minutes it started naming songs and playlists and jumping item to item with no stopping it. JUNK! Wonderful if made properly, like most Apple products, but instead rushed to production or supplier delivered poor headsets, but all of them poor. I cannot say how disappointed I am. Shame on Apple for not recalling and releasing something that works. Why buy something so small that cannot perform its obvious use?!?
