Lots of MP3 Players out there, but none is so elegant and easy to operate as the Apple.
Give credit where credit is due--Although much smaller than Microsoft, Apple computers and Ipods are selling well because of the value offered.
Try one at a local store--you will probably love it...
Not the best for exercise--the Nano or Shuffle would be better because you can feel the buttons, but the Touch is the best for people who do more with their MP3 players, including surfing the net, sending email, etc.

I knew the hype about Iphone and the new ipod touch, but it wasn't until I used it did I notice how amazing this product is. It never once in 3 months of solid use ever locked up or had any issues...Quality though and through. The Wi-Fi feature on this make it my "virtual" computer on the go. Plus the Video performance surpassed my expectations...I watched a 2 hour rental movie on the pod and it still had plenty of batter left over. The powersaving features on this pod are great and last a long time. I also recomend the DLO Case for it to protect the back and provide some extra grip. The new software is EXCELLENT and well worth the upgrade (I use the new features every day).
The Bad: The only bad was the lack of Flash and the fact that when playing YouTube videos batter last shorter than usual (but standard video is ok,...something to do with Wi-fi and Youtube sucks down battery). Wi fi by itself is not bad on the battery.
Overall, the Ipod may seem expensive, but so far it has enhanced my life and I like that it gives me everything I want without paying the iphone monthly fee to AT&T. Can't wait for a Voice over IP app. for this thing.
Don't bother with other brands....its the ecosystem - Apple software that really enhances the experience. You could go with Microsoft Samsung, Creative, but you will regret the decision. If you want Quality, ease, and more choices over time (apps and games for ipods coming this year)
Other recommendations: Ultimate Ears superfi5, Flytunes.net (for radio on the go), and CaseLogic case (which fits it perfect)

I purchased the 16gb ipod touch a few months ago. Prior to that I had the ipod nano. As soon as I selected all the various settings and set up my email I was excited to see how easy it works. I couldnt even get thru all the features in a few days. After using the itouch I asked myself why I waited so long to upgrade and the price was worth it. Once the new apps software came out I purchased that and downloaded the Pandora app along with others. Its great. I have the Bose sound dock so its great to have internet music play and you can rate the songs with a thumbs up or down. The only wish I have is to be able to have access to the internet other than at a coffee shop and home. However, with all the other features Im not complaining. For its size and good looks, performance, and functionality, this is the best portable media player on the market. Sure, Archos has their grey bricks with everything and the kitchen sink, but you can't slip those things into a shirt pocket much less a front pants pocket. I am currently looking at selling mine for a 3G Iphone, but this has been a great thing to have the past 6 months. Every kid in college with access to campus wifi should have one of these. I only gave this 4 starts because the 32 GB version exists and thats the only PMP that deserves a perfect rating.
