Digital camera reviews of Apple iPod touch 16 GB (2nd Generation) [Previous Model]Digital camera Review: Absolutely brilliant !!! Summary: 5 Stars
The IPod Touch is a brilliant peice of electronics. It is one of the best gadgets I own.
The features are very cool and I love using the wi-fi at home, while relaxing on the deck in the backyard or even at the local coffee shop.
This is one of the best purchases I have made in a while and the price on Amazon was the best around.
Digital camera Review: Absolutely love it Summary: 5 Stars
I have been extremely happy with my Touch. I use it daily at the gym, at home, in the car. I upgraded from a 2 GB nano and I really love all the music I can have with me. I also have my favorites movies to help pass the time on the treadmill, the Kindle app so I always have a book with me, an app that allows me to send text messages and a few games. I'm just starting to use the calendar function, but I love having it all in one place. I am so impressed with it that I almost want to get an iPhone, but I refuse to switch my cell carrier. My only annoyance is the battery life. It's really poor. I found an app that tells me approximately how much time I have left depending on what I am doing (movies, music, etc.). I've gotten used to the issue and it's only a minor annoyance for me personally. I keep it docked when I'm not using it and I found a package through an Amazon affiliate that was all of about $10 for a retractable data cable, wall charger, car charger and silicone case with armband. I just keep the charger pieces in my purse so I have them whenever I need them. In the month I've had it, I think there has been only one time that I wasn't able to use it because the battery died. Not bad considering how much I use it. Buying the Touch was a real splurge for me and I don't regret it one bit!
Digital camera Review: Accessory warning Summary: 4 Stars
It won't charge anymore with 1st generation accessories. Apparently Apple decided to remove firewire charging support it will charge via USB 5V pins only and most automobile and some home accessories utilize 12V firewire pins to charge. This holds true for 2nd gen ipod touch or 3g iphone. I'm so annoyed with this. The metallic back still scratches abnormally. If a butterfly lands on it, it will scratch. Do yourself a favor and purchase protective gear right away. The speaker is finally here and it should have been included in the 1st generation. Other than that it's a fun device to play with.
3g charge converters (firewire to usb) might be available on the market soon. Prepare to part with a couple of Jacksons.
Digital camera Review: All the benefits of the iphone, without the monthly contract Summary: 5 Stars
I got this for my sister for christmas and she absolutely adores it. Because she is on a college campus with ample wi-fi available, she's able to make easy use of all the bells and whistles. In addition to its more than adequate battery life and music playing functionality, she uses it to check e-mails before class and send IMs, and has raved about all the cool free apps she's been able to download and use on it.
This is a second hand review, as I haven't touched the thing myself, but it seems like she couldn't be more happy with it.
Digital camera Review: Almost an iphone Summary: 5 Stars
If you don't need to be constantly on the internet this could be for you. It pretty much does what an iphone will do except make phone calls and to get on line you need to be in a wi fi area. On the plus side you don't have the $30.00/month charge fron AT&T that comes with an iphone.
I'm 70 years old and definately not on the cutting edge of electronics, but I have found the ipod touch to be easy to use and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm using it for most of my e-mails.
