Probably one of the best gadgets I've purchased :)
I purchased this to use it around my house with wifi or public hotspots and it works great! I jailbreak this and installed a GPS software that works better than my actual GPS device!! I just this to make calls to Mexico with vonage, check my e-mail, stream videos from home home server, chat, listen to my last.fm radio, text for free to mexico, take pictures, record videos, watch youtube videos, use it as a webcam, chat,read my rss feeds, read the news,access my computer remotely, play chess etc... all without att service!!! Can it get any better? I thinkg not :)

I bought this iPod back in January to replace a dying 1st Generation Nano. The two are nothing alike. The Touch destroys any other iPod in comparison, and is certainly worth the money. As long as you have WiFi access, this is a must have for people who enjoy convenience. I love the simplicity of the Safari Browser and Youtube apps. The videos I downloaded, and the ones on Youtube look amazing on a nice wide display, and I love the newly amplified sound of music. If you're easily amused (God knows I am) you'll be excited every time you touch the screen and make something happen. I haven't tested the iTunes app on it, because I get my music elsewhere, but I assume it works great. Anyone can use this device. When you buy it, just plug it in, find your Router password, and you're good to go! The iTouch is an amazing device!Digital camera Review: An absolute gem!

I was so intrigued by the Itouch that I was one of the first ones to run out and get one. At the time the 8 GB was the largest they had but since then they have released a 32 GB one. I should have been patient and waited but even with 8 GB I still haven't even filled it up halfway. Of course I don't have any movies or such on it which I hear takes up a great deal of space. But I do have tons of CDs and pictures..This is the most innovative product I have seen in a long time and what is so cool is being able to watch You Tube videos anywhere there is a Wi Fi connection. I think the videos actually look better on the Itouch vs a PC. I have since upgraded the software and love all the additional features! About the only complaint I would have is that I wish the battery life would last longer and that when it comes time to replace the battery that you wouldn't have to send it in to have it done.
The integration with Itunes is seamless and I have become somewhat of an addict downloading all my favorite classic rock so I could have it readily available to play in my car. That's the beauty of having this gem..being able to hook it into the auxiliary jack of your car stereo and listening to your whole music collection. Also being able to set up an "On the Go" play list of your favorite tunes from your whole database of music is a plus! Loading all your precious digital photos on it is also a great plus! You can practically share your whole photo album with friends and family! The earphones that come with it give a great sound and I've picked up some portable speakers to hook up to it work great when you want to share with friends etc.
The look of it is sheer beauty and the touch sensitivity is absolutely amazing! Surfing the web is probably not the best thing to do with a device like this but you do have that option which makes it rather pleasant. My favorite things to use it for are listening to music in my car. And watching You Tube Videos! The ability to bookmark all your favorite videos is a feature I like and the album cover art that accompanies your CD uploads and downloads from Itunes is such a cool feature!
All in all a great package and worth every penny! Apple did good!

I have both the iphone and itpuch. The itouch is basically another thing of iPhone. It has wifi and other functions just like the iphone, except for the phone function. However itouch's wifi detector does not seem 2 be as strong as the iPhone. If I was to choose between the itouch and iPhone I would get the iPhone instead. The price difference between the 2 is about $100. Moreover the itouch does not have as many application as the iPhone. The I pod was fine and shipped fast. Excellent condition and works well. However I was very upset with Amazon. I didn't realize that by ordering it I was signing myself up for a new Chase Credit Card. I assumed that i was going to pay by PenPal. Now I have to go through all of the drama to cancel the credit card. I don't recall anywhere where it was clear that I was signing up for another credit card. It is very annoying
