Digital camera reviews of Apple iPod touch 8 GB (2nd Generation--without iPhone OS 3.1 Software) [Previous Model]

Digital camera Review: Amazing!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought this about a week ago after seeing the reviews. I love it! I bought it to replace an older mp3 player, and it's an unbelievable price for all the features.
The wifi works great and the whole device is VERY user friendly. One of the things I found that I love is that it has an application to view Word documents.. not to mention the huge amount of other useful applications.
The ONLY negative thing I've noticed is that the external speaker isn't the greatest but for what I use it for, its still nice!

Digital camera Review: Amazing!
Summary: 5 Stars

It's amazing, so much you can do with it. My Boyfriend always wanted apple to make a gaming device and this is it. so much fun and the games are so in expensive! So much you can do with it, The Audible promotion sealed the deal.( Audible promotion gives you $100 off your purchase of the touch.)

Digital camera Review: Amazing, and very useful
Summary: 5 Stars

First let me say that having this makes me wish I had an iPhone (because I need Verizon, I cannot have one). This is such an amazing product. It is not only for entertainment, but also helps with many other things. My favorite thing about the Touch are the free applications. While I am not thrilled with the way you have to sync, etc., once I got the hang of it, it wasn't that bad. There are some really great utilities out there and they make having this VERY useful for me. I can use it to store pictures of things that I collect, and when I go to an auction to preview lots, etc., I can just call them up and compare them. Audiobooks are great. There is a Kindle application. This is probably the most useful piece of technology that I own, in respect of personal productivity. There are enough applications out there that you can customize this into a personal electronic assistant. I am simply amazed. And now that most hotels have a player, you can have your own music, etc.. Also, with many vehicles allowing you to run your music through the radio, you have fast, clear, music at your fingertips. Buy a screen protector to protect your investment....it's really great. Music is great. Video is sharp, and very easy to view. Viewing angle is not bad either. Some of the free games are also great! With all the free stuff, let me tell you, there are even better ones that cost relatively little.

Digital camera Review: Amazon problem
Summary: 1 Stars

I doubt I'll ever see this review because it will make Amazon look bad, (but I still like them). Right after I received my Ipod, the new model came out, next generation and $15 dollars cheaper. I contacted them right away and they wouldn't do anything, no refund, no exchange. They say they stopped their policy of refunding the difference if an item goes down in price right after you buy it. The Ipod is cool, free chess and Solitaire apps. You can shake it to go to the next song but it's too sensitive and can change by accident with a little bump. You can lock it but then it takes a few steps to change songs,(not easy to do if you're running). Overall the Ipod is good but Amazon's new policy is a bummer.

Digital camera Review: An Always Awake Computer
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently wrote the following at another site re slightly larger computers. It is a testament to the brilliance of the iPod Touch so I reproduce it here. The instant bootup may be a bigger advantage than meets the eye. I have the HP 2133 and have been checking other smaller netbooks. My intention is to have a truly portable, always available, unit to do specialized functions, mainly take notes and write thoughts as they come up, and keep up with the net and my email. All the hardware out there defeats these purposes because the bootup is so slow; indeed sometimes painfully slow like when updates are available and being automatically downloaded. Surprisingly I find myself using my iPod Touch more and more to satisfy at least 80 or 90 percent of my needs, even short notes. In the meantime the 2133 sits on a shelf (and when I do turn it on it goes for up to an hour updating and diagnosing itself). Because of this I considered the new Fujitsu Lifebook 820. If it had the responsiveness of my iPod Touch I would have bought it in an instant! But it runs on Vista! I don't need a full function portable when I am in the street. Surprisingly I found myself wondering if Windows CE (which the unit I was commenting on plans to include) may not be what the doctor called for, at least until Apple comes out with a netbook with a slightly bigger screen than that of the iPod!
