These speakers are just right for what I needed... ultra-portable that I can plug easily in to my portable (non-iPod) mp3 player for music in hotel rooms when traveling. Sound is plenty decent and loud enough for the purpose, but not something to be hosting room parties with. One issue I found, when I first loaded batteries in it wouldn't power on (despite working fine when plugged into the laptop via the USB power cord). Turns out it didn't like the rechargable batteries I was using, when I put in standard Duracells it worked just fine! Other than that a great deal.
