For the price I paid for this product (twenty five dollar range), I don't know if the DB5 can be beat in the value department. The speakers sound great to me; however, I'm not an audiophile, so I can't attest to the overall sound quality. These are great little speaker at a super price. They work very well with ScanDisk mp3 players. Amazingly full sound for their size. I only wish the came with an AC/DC adapter. You wouldn't expect that much sound for something that is about as big as your palm, but it does produce a large output of sound. I bought this for my mom and it was very easy for her to use, whether on battery or computer power. The only thing that I wasn't too happy about is that they don't include a power cable to plug into the wall; you have to buy that separately. The sounds quality is fabulous and is pretty loud- about as loud as a speak system that I have. I think that this product is good for anyone at any age because it is that simple to use and one thing that I love about it is that it is compact enough to take anywhere when traveling.Digital camera Review: Good Quality and Enough Sound

This very cute and nice one. I am using this as external speakers for my Dell Inspiron laptop as I am not getting enough sound with my laptop speakers for some of online videos. It gives enough amplification and it produces quality audio. You can't except very high volume like your home theater with this kind of portable speakers.
Positive:
1. Very cute and Handy.
2. It comes with both USB power and batteries
3. Included extension audio card is helpful if you want to keep this few feet away from your source.
4. The box it comes with very nice like a jewelery box.
Negative:
1. It doesn't remember previous volume setting. Everytime you start this, it starts from low volume, you have to set your volume.
2. It doesn't auto shut off if you are not connected to source, so if you forget to switch off, batteries may drain out.

This products work good for travel. It is small and compact and the case keep the speakers safe from bumps. I use it with a SanDisk player but it will work with any player with a mini plug input. The 3 d sound helps. The only con is if you have music with deep base. You may need to modify your base to not overload the speakers and distort the sound. Of course this is expected with speakers of this type and size. Overall a very good product to listen to your tunes in a hotel room while traveling.
