Just a note ...
Switching between battery and powered requires that batteries be removed.
The transmitter turns itself off during quiet sections of music.
Power off returns the volume of full off requiring that you set the volume again.
Susceptible to interference.
In explicable audio drop outs (in addition to interference problems).
I shopping for remote speakers...

Totally impressed on how easy it was to hook these up to my LCD TV and make an instant surround sound system! A few cons about them:
1.) anytime you turn them off, when you turn them back on you have to manually "up" the volume on
2.) very annoying blue light- but easily covered w/ some duct tape and black marker
3.) a little on the larger side.
BUT I just love them, especially for the price it's really easy to ignore those cons.

These are above average speakers and an excellent deal for the price. The range of the transmitter is very good, working anywhere in my 3 bedroom ranch and outside as well. The speaker audio is very clear but you need to experiment on the source volume level to make sure the speakers don't get overloaded and crackly. They need six C batteries, each, to work without the AC and it would be nice if the AC plugs could be plugged in without having to take the battery cover off too. Batteries last in relation to the volume used, and it could get pricey if you have to buy batteries quite often, so try to use AC power whenever possible or look for a good deal on rechargeable batteries on the web. Overall, you won't be disappointed unless you think you're going to match the loudness of your home stereo system.Digital camera Review: About what I expected

I read the reviews on this product prior to purchasing and for the most part they were dead on. The speakers are decent I use them regularly but I have a few issues with them. I have a small one bedroom condo and the speakers are in the living room and the transmitter is in the bedroom maybe 50ft away yet there is still static on them. If I do not move around the static is not there but if I am moving it seems to cause the static. It is not awful static and I can personally live with it but die hard music listeners will have issues. For the price I think they are great but could definitely be better.
