These speakers are very cool. They hook up easy and sound great. There have only been a few times that there has been any interference and it has been very short lived. The only thing I wish they included was an adapter to hook up speaker wire directly. Every connection they offer is a plug (headphone jack, phono jack, etc.). The Audio Unlimited Wireless Speakers with Remote (SPK-VELO-001) speakers worked flawlessly for me. My audio source is downstairs and on the south end of our home while I am using the speakers upstairs on the north end of our home. The only negative I have is the remote doesn't work on all functions. It will not turn the speakers on but does adjust the volume and will turn the speakers off. Anyone considering these speakers should also realize they are monaural, not stereo. I knew this when I ordered them but they fit my needs perfectly since most all the music I listen to is monaural (music from the 40's on satelite radio.Digital camera Review: Excellent Wireless Speakers!

We use our Macbook in our Kitchen for all our music. We have many playlists including radio stations and programs such as NPR. The problem is that the little computer speakers just don't cut it. Especially, if we want to host parties and/or use it outside on our large deck.
I figured I'd just go to Best Buy/Circuit City and purchase some wireless speakers, but CC said they don't carry any instore (only on their website), and the ones at BB were not very attractive. They either looked like tiny computer speakers or were huge and bulky.
This set from Amazon looked attractive and the reviews seemed positive enough I figured I'd give it a try. When they showed up the other night, I was very pleased. Setup was literally as easy as just plugging things in. Plug the base station into a power outlet, then the other cable into the headphone jack on the laptop (it also includes RCA type jacks to plug into a home theater receiver). Then plug the speakers into a power outlet (or put several batteries into each speaker). Then just power on. There are holes on the back of the speakers to mount to a wall (haven't done this yet).
The speakers have a very nice sound, and decent volume. We hosted a Christmas party and had the music up very loud on several occasions and the sound was very good. We never had static once.
My parents have a set of wireless speakers they purchased a couple of years ago and they constantly have static and have to fine-tune each speaker frequently to filter out the static. Not so with these. The technical specs mention they lock onto the signal and adjust as necessary, and this appears to work fantastic.
Some of the other reviews have been disatisfied with the remote. I haven't used the remote though, so I can't comment there. We adjust the volume by using the remote that came with our Macbook laptop.

Have owned this system for some time now and it has performed perfectly. Occasionally the "Auto Tune" button needs to be pressed because of signal drift, but this is only a minor annoyance. Audio quality is pretty amazing, especially the bass response from a small unit. The remote is very handy, as is the automatic shutoff to conserve energy.
Having said that, it is a bit inconvenient to have to manually turn the power for each speaker on each time because the remote does not provide a power-on function. However, in the interest of energy conservation, it is okay that the unit(s) do not draw unnecessary power when not in use.
While the transmitter provides a choice of 2 channels, it is not designed as a stereo sound system. To create a wireless stereo speaker system, two of these systems would need to be connected (two transmitters, each on a different channel) and the sound source would need to be split between the two. Best used as a high-quality mono speaker system because the transmitter blends left and right audio signals.
I've used numerous brands of wireless speakers since they first came on the market decades ago, and this system is the best yet. I am very pleased and would recommend it highly. Compared to other systems available, this offers what I believe is the best audio quality and features for the price.

I have four of these speakers being driven from a PC. I have two additional units used for temporary installations. While my principal application is not for music, I have utilized the two spare units for background music on special occations. The units have all performed superbly well, absolutely noise-free; no clicks, pops or beeps (and I am also using a wireless router, wireless phone and wireless cameras). The transmitter is centrally located on the first floor; two of the speakers are on the second floor, one on the first floor, and one in the basement. I have been using these units for almost a year, the only issue experienced was due to a lightning strike that took out 3 of the 4 adapters; the speaker units were undamaged, and I have since installed a whole house surge suppressor. For those who have complained about the transmitter cutting-out, I would suggest you need to check the input signal level to the transmitter. The transmitter is designed to shutdown four minutes after the input signal level drops below a set threshold. It will automatically restart after the input signal exceeds the threshold for two seconds. User recorded MP3 music files are notorious for inconsistant signal levels, which can result in some music selections producing an inadequate input signal level to the transmitter. Music selections with a low signal level can easily be improved by downloading one of the free audio editors and normalizing the offending music file.
