Digital camera Review: Barely audible

I really had high hopes for these speakers. They are very good looking, but when they arrived, the included audio cable did not work. Not a big deal, I had an old one from an old set of wireless speakers. Once I got them working though, even at the highest volume you could not hear them from more than 3 feet away. There are two main gripes about these speakers -
1. Random beeping and interferences - every few minutes while playing music, one of the speakers (randomly) will beep. Sometimes, you can hear some serious interferences. I have wi-fi and 5.8GHZ phones at home. Not sure if they are the culprit. But come on, everyone has these nowadays. I even went through the hassle to get an exchange from the manufacturer, but the new ones beeps just as often.
2. As many reviewers point out, the remote is poorly designed and thought out. You cannot turn on the speakers with the remote. I mean, how stupid is that?
I wish I had waited on buying these. Maybe I will sell them on Craigslist and recoop some money.

Not emphasized in the product description is that the sound transmitted is monaural.
I listen to (too many) news/politics shows in the evening, and want to be able to hear the narrative as I move about in several rooms, but don't need to see the video... or use the electricity of simultaneous screens.
I now have the opportunity for transmitted vocal content at my desk and in my bedroom without having to linger in front of the den or kitchen TV.
Because my TV has no audio-out connector, the IN-put to the transmitter required using the headphone jack on the TV. Sadly, that automatically mutes the TV's own speakers, and I had to use a splitter and attach ANOTHER speaker behind the set (scavenged from a prior computer's).

These are the second set of these speakers that I have purchased. My first set was for personal use and we set them up on our porch for the entire summer. They worked beautifully, good quality sound for such inexpensive speakers, volume is more than adequate (we worked in the backyard putting in new garden edging and it was great). I bought the second set for school and the teachers love them! I read some of the reviews and some of the people didn't like the fact that you have to manually turn them on but that is of no concern to us. I wish there was a way to purchase another transmitter because I only need to send out one speaker for our school use.Digital camera Review: Best speakers

These speakers are one of the best purchases I have made. They are everything I wanted at a reasonable price. My wife is listening to a streaming radio talk show in the kitchen with her computer here in the office as I type this. I can keep the sound down in the office and she can set the volume at the level she wants in the kitchen. The sound is great with no distortion or buzzing. I am totally satisfied.
