This product works exceptionally well.
My dad travels all over the country and when he had the XM received with no adapter, he wasn't able to hold an FM station consistently without constantly changing channels. Needless to say it was very frustrating.
We purchased this FM adapter and installed it in his 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. It works great. He chose a radio station at random and has never changed it in the weeks he's been traveling. Sound is crystal clear, no more interference.
Highly recommended if you don't have a casette player or line-in/aux with your stereo system.

This adapter seems to work great. Buyer needs to be fairly familiar with automotive interior assembly/disasembly (to install yourself) as access to the antenne plug is required. Some weaker FM broadcast stations seem to be come in worse now but they're only stations my wife listens to. ;)Digital camera Review: Great sound, with a small inconvenience

The direct connection provides crystal clear sound from my XM tuner and couldn't be better.
One thing I didn't realize until after I got it installed was that when the XM radio is on, the direct connection switches off my car radio antenna. So if I want to switch from listening to XM to my regular radio, I can't hear some of my favorite over-the-air radio stations unless I turn my XM tuner off (which takes a few seconds).
If you switch between XM and the regular radio very often, you may want to think about it before going with this option.

This product works great and is certainly better than using the FM transmitter mode. the sound is very clear there is never any interruption. the instructions are also very clear.
