I would not recommend this to anyone. You are lucky if it will shred more than one piece of paper at a time. I have an old Royal shredder at home. I have had it for 5 years, works great, and it cost less. The shredders I see today are ridiculously expensive, this one was less, but I guess you get what you pay for.Digital camera Review: China?

The shredder I ordered was good,its done what its made for,but I'm sick and tired of seeing items manufactured in China.We live in the United States,support our country.It would be helpful if Amazon told us where the merchandise is made.I'm sorry but the Chinese make junk,and have tried to kill is with their lead paint amoung other things.Digital camera Review: Compact, Works

This is a decent shredder. I like that it is compact and it has performed reasonably well. It does not always sense the papers right away though it works most of the time. If I had a lot of documents to shred, I would probably need to get a different shredder. This one really sounds like it is struggling (compared to other home-office shredders I have used). However, I purchased this for a reasonable price on Amazon and it has been suitable for personal use - occasional credit cards, documents, receipts and the like.Digital camera Review: Cross cut shredder

Since I seldom shred credit cards, this feature is not one of my greatest concerns. However, after looking at the results of shredding, it seems that I have purchased just what I needed, i.e. a valuable tool in identity theft protection. This product is noisy and seems a bit rough, however, it does shred the paper as well as our last shredder, which just wore out. The top is easy to remove for emptying the basket.
