This is a decent shredder. I like that it is compact and it has performed reasonably well. It does not always sense the papers right away though it works most of the time. If I had a lot of documents to shred, I would probably need to get a different shredder. This one really sounds like it is struggling (compared to other home-office shredders I have used). However, I purchased this for a reasonable price on Amazon and it has been suitable for personal use - occasional credit cards, documents, receipts and the like. the crosscut blades and motor are heavy and of good quality. I just shedded two years worth of bills and statements that I had sitting around collecting dust. Equivalent of a huge 20oz bag of shreddings. Waste basket is ok, I wish I didn't have to remove the head when emptying out the shreds, but for the money it is a well made product that has already proven reliable and useful. its hard to put a dollar amount on peace of mind, but this makes it cheap :)Digital camera Review: Good Cross Cut Shredder

Shredded 1 1/2 baskets of papers and a few credit cards and then it stopped working. From past experience of seeing the miss use of shredders in an office, I was very careful and never put more than 4 sheets of paper or one credit card in it at a time. Bought this because the reviews were good and of course the price was bonus. Guess you get what you pay for. I'm returning this.

Two shredding sessions on the first day... 10-15 minutes each. Then it died. Amazon replaced it promptly - but that one didn't work at all out of the box. Returning for a refund. I will look for another brand of shredder.
