Digital camera Review: Best value digital frame by far!

This is the best value 7" digital frame by far. I work in computer business and I find this digital frame a great value. I bought 2 units a while back for myself and a gift to a best friend. My friend loved it and after I tried it, I too loved it. This unit is easy to use and has clock and calendar. When I am not watching photos, I switch it to clock mode. If I want to take a nap, I turn on the alarm to wake me up. It works great at home or in office; the picture loading speed is fast. The screen is sharp and bright. I just can't ask for more. I would recommend this unit to any one. Others are selling over $80 and this unit (with clock/calendar/alarm) only sells for under $80. I exchanged it for Kodak's P720. When it comes to digital photo frames, you definitely get what you pay for. The Kodak frame didn't impress me much as far as picture quality goes, but at least it does what it says it will do. More than can be said for the Axion, which doesn't even tell you what resolution it supports, and refuses to play all the MP3's you give it. Also, forget using the internal memory on the frame, unless you only want one song and 15 photos. Cryptic, instructions written & translated by a middle school English student in China. Hard to tell if important functions were overlooked in design/manufacture or translation. Since the remote (which lacked instructions) did not work, all set up had to be done with the rear panel buttons. It still doesn't recognize pictures stored on SD or memory stick. It did recognize and use files on a USB flash drive. It plays them in the same sequence, with no control over presentation or order.
After spending two evenings and half a Saturday getting images to load and play, I have made no attempt for audio files. With only a 1" speaker I suspect anything more than MIDI files would be very disappointing to irritating played repeatedly in the same sequence.
But it's the holidays, so I'll generously give it 2 stars. If further discounted, it will be a cheap stocking stuffer that will keep young ones challenged and engaged for many hours to get functional.

Had this product for two months before it started to behave intermittently. The slide show would sometimes freeze and trouble with it in powering on. After a year there were horizantal lines on it. This sat in a safe corner of the room so there was not any mishandling of the device. Kept the pics down to the products resolution and kept the pics to less than a count of 50 in one folder to ensure better functionality from the device. After reading many reviews the product either works or it doesn't work. And if it does work it's a matter of time it will not work. Most users in the reviews seem to be pretty much in the know of what they are doing and I trust their opinions on the CONS of this device. So my husband bought this for me because we are both stationed in iraq and instead of having a lot of photos sitting around, he thought this would be perfect for me to set on my desk. It was a great product for about a month. It was nice because I share my desk and instead of him having to look at MY photo's, he could just put it on the "clock" mode and it was perfect. BUT.. Here comes the downer. The backlight of this product went out. It was never dropped. I made sure that it was not, it was planted very firmly onto my desk. But one day I came to work and my co-worker said that it just went out. I know it is my backlight because I can still see the photo's scroll across but they are VERY dark I can barely see it. I would return it but 1. my husband bought it and 2. I've already had it for a little over a month now and you cannot return it after so long. So I give this a rating of CRAP! because I really didn't even get to enjoy it. So now I am going to have to find another one. So just keep in mind that the backlight may go out on you...
