This item is very good at charging the unit in little time and you can also use it to power the unit while you are listening to music through either your stereo or watching a movie on tv. You get about 2 hours of battery life without having this adapter plugged in so I recommend this if you want to watch any type of movies or videos for extended periods of time. The sound is great on this speaker, however, the system after 30 days will not work on batteries and the unit gets extremely hot. Will be notifying the manufacturer.
