I would urge customers not to purchase this product based upon our experience. When we received the "safety" bar we read the easy instructions and made sure that the grip was fastened appropriately with the red side showing - indicating it was locked. However, when ny elderly grandmother attempted to use it to get out of the tub it came right off the wall. She is a tiny woman weighing only 98 lbs. Had her helper not been with her she would have fallen and certainly injured herself seriously. If you are someone who can withstand a fall then by all means purchase. Safety handle seemed very secure when installed per instructions;
however, later that day it fell off into the shower (which amplified
the sound creating a startling sound). Don't think this is a good idea
for even a balancing handle. Would return if I had the chance.

This safety handle would be great if it worked. It would not work on tile because the groves between the tiles made the seal not work. I put it on the tub which worked until the shower steam made the seal release. I tried it many times and never could get it to stay.
