Digital camera reviews of BOSE (R) In-Ear Stereo Headphones

Digital camera Review: Average
Summary: 3 Stars

I thought that with a brand name like Bose anything that I purchase would have high quality. This set me back 100 bucks! Not worth it. The sound and quality is the same as a pair of Sony Noise cancelling headphones. These headphones are great if you are in a quiet environment. They are useless in the subway, train, crowded lunch line basically any place with lots of noise. The buds keep falling off my ear. Any movement of the wire and they fall right off. The benefits of these headphones do not exceed the price.

Digital camera Review: Awesome

That is the word I describe these wonderful headphones. They are slick cool and the sound is amazing. If I put on any other headphones my music does not sound as clear and not to mention the bass is great.

Digital camera Review: Awesome Quality Headphones
Summary: 5 Stars

Bose has always impressed me with their Quality products and these headsets are right at the top. Excellent sound and bass response.

Digital camera Review: Awesome sound, Crappy quality
Summary: 2 Stars

When I first got these headphones for Christmas and tried them, i was amazed at the sound. All my music sounded like i was in the room with the artist. They are great music wise!
Then I started noticing that after a few days with them, anytime I would be walking or move around at all with my ipod in my pocket (even with the ipod on lock) the ipod would pause. I figured out that any time the wire moved or wiggled, there was some kind of loose connection because, like the auto feature on an ipod pauses the music when the plug is pulled, it was registering that the headphones were disconnected, when in reality they weren't.
Also while I said the sound is great, I expected more noise cancelling with these, as they advertised. While much better than the stock i-pod headphones, I still have to crank up the volume to cancel out the noise, which we all know is how we get hearing damage. With better noise cancelling, you shouldnt have to up your hearing threshold or damage your hearing to hear your music. At home or in a library would be great for these headphones; not on a subway or walking down the street.

I also found that they dont stay in your ear as well as i expected. Walking is ok, but any sort of awkward movement or excersizing, they just dont stay put.

Finally, after using them a week, I've already misplaced an ear bud. I dont stuff my ipod deep into a bag nor am I rough with it. I would hope that the ear buds would not have a staying issue, but apparently they do.

I am usually pleased very easily but I am disappointed with these headphones, especially for what you pay for them. Bose sure must have spent a LOT of money on the tons of marketing and ads everywhere, as every person on a NY subway is suddenly wearing them after Christmas...

While maybe my set had a bad wire and are the exception, at $99, Bose gets one shot from me. I am going to exchange them for the Sony Fontopias. They are much cheaper and they were highly recommended to me for their noise cancelling, great sound, staying ability and at a MUCH more reasonable price. Read the reviews and it seems as if many people are happy with them.

Digital camera Review: BEST PURCHASE I'VE MADE IN YEARS
Summary: 5 Stars

These earbuds are the BEST. Believe me, I have tried them all. I am an audiophile kind of guy who expects nothing but the best in sound quality. I have tried out the Shure's earbud model. Great in highs but very uncomfortable to use. You really have to stick it inside your ear which hurts after a few minutes. I tried the Sony's earbuds which have absolutely no bass response, harmon kardon...good sound quality but not the best and again missing some of that full sound. Very rich, maybe too rich in sound and expensive too. I tried the apple earbuds that are for $30 dollars and let me tell you, they lack in sound clarity. Bass response is there but very muddy sound. It seemed that everywhere I looked for earbuds, they were either too rich with hardly any bass response or very bassy with muffled clarity. That is up until the wonderful guys at Bose came out with these IN-Ear headphones. The first thing that I said when I tried them on was WOW! The sit comfortably on the ear and not nudged inside the ear. They don't fall off easily like other earbuds and all of this before I even had a chance to hear some music through them. Once I heard the sound quality I was even more amazed. True, the bass response on these earphones are incredible where they are not muffled but I thought some fullness in sound could be improved. Little did I know that I had to play around with the EQ on my I-pod and Eureka, great filling sound with breath taking bass response. I have not been able to break apart from these headphones and I assure you that I will never return to all the other headphones out there. The sales clerk even forcasts that these earphones will be the thing to get for Christmas. I wouldn't be surprised since they are only $99. That is a pretty good price considering that other headphones go for the same if not more. Some up to $300 and they still can't beat the performance of these new headphones. Still don't believe me? Try them out for yourself. In fact they encourage you to do so and if the headphones don't meet your expectations they will allow you to return them in 30 days. Trust me, you will be pleased with this purchase. I know I was.
