Digital camera reviews of BOSE (R) In-Ear Stereo HeadphonesDigital camera Review: Big Bang for the Money Summary: 4 Stars
Already I had these earphones for over a year now. I must say, these earphones are PHENOMENAL! :]
Pros:
Sound: Very great bass. The bass on these babies actually shakes your eyeballs. It's hard to read when you have this on with a bass-friendly song.
Design: Very well designed. The earphones themselves are very good looking, and I often received comments on how cool it looks.
Cost: Compared to other high-end earphones, these are fairly cheap. Seeing how some Shure's can go up to $400, I think I made a fairly good decision.
Customer service: Since I bought the model's first generation, I really made the bad choice. The construction was weak. There were many negatives to the earphones when they first came out. Thus, the reviews were pretty bad. Seeing these complaints about how the ear plugs fell out easily, Bose sent a complimentary three pack of ear buds, at NO CHARGE. I did not even call them up to complain. They also sent me a strap to hold the earphones down when exercising. :]
Cons:
Construction: Construction was fairly cheap for the first generation. The wires were only covered by rubber, which could easily snap when it gets caught in a door handle (so lucky I wasn't holding my iPod so tightly).
I was constantly afraid that the wires would easily snap
Furthermore, the earphone jack was very weak. The connection from the jack to the wire was weak, and after several months of use, the sound varied whenever I tweaked or bent them.
(These are cons for the first generation)
Overall:
Very good with the sound. I was often inspired by many of the songs that I previously had, but heard it through different speakers and earphones. When you hear your music through these, you will most definitely buy them!
Digital camera Review: Bogus Bose In-Ear Headphones Summary: 1 Stars
I hate these! What a glorious waste of money. Sound quality is fairly good, but the tips DO NOT stay secure, nor to they stay in the ear. If you are looking to invest in good earbuds, look somewhere else.
Digital camera Review: Bose - Can you Hear Me Now??? Summary: 2 Stars
These Bose In-Ear buds are junk. The rubber ear stays fall off and the sound is sub par.
I am looking for an ear piece that I take on my long bike rides that isolate the left ear from the traffic noise and provide a low level music to listen and keep in the zone. Ear buds work better because of sweating issues. I am trying active noise cancellation ear buds now after seeing that even Bose can't make a regular earbud of any quality.
Bose...go back to the drawing board and come up with a good noise cancelling ear bud designed for the active athlete.
Digital camera Review: Bose Ear Buds - Just Great Summary: 4 Stars
If you are looking for a light weight ear bud for your mp3 player, telephone, thse will fit the bill. The sound is just fabulous and is almost like surround sound.
Digital camera Review: Bose Ear Buds need improvement Summary: 3 Stars
These earplugs are average. Sound quality is not much better than the iPod buds. I find it difficult to get a good tight-feeling fit with the flanges that attach to the earphones, even though the earbuds ship with SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE flange attachments. Also, be careful when taking your phones in and out of your gym bag, because the flanges are not very secure and easily pop off - easy to lose. Not what I expected from Bose. I think they rushed the product in order to meet a growing demand, but they need some more R&D to develop a product worthy of their name. Bottom line - if you're a runner, don't bother.
