I was looking forward to this item as I had already discovered the poor speaker quality of my iPhone 3GS.

THE PLASTIC IS VERY LOW QUALITY. The case is just a cover without a bit of padding in it. There is nothing "protective" about it. I bet if it is dropped, even once, on a hard surface the phone would be toast and the case would be broken. The case would probably pop open since the top and bottom snap together.

I ordered the blue case and there are several areas that have turned white (like cheap plastic does with movement) even tho it has only been used a few times. Also, the way it is made left some sharp edges where the "bandshell" moves around. Each time I use it, the bandshell is difficult to manipulate and I am afraid I'll drop it. I would recom that the maker incorporate a place to put attach a strap....like on a camera. At least then you could watch a movie on public transportation without losing it on a bump.

The sound is good. I was tired of holding my iPhone in a cupped hand to improve the sound quality. The flat edge works well but would have preferred something with a "tilt." Lesson learned. Looking elsewhere.

I found the perfect case (for me at least!) right here at Amazon. Check out the "AmazonBasics Shell-Case for iPhone 3G, 3GS (Red/Black)" AmazonBasics Shell-Case for iPhone 3G, 3GS (Red/Black) It is a fraction of the cost of others (under $5!) and is of (surprise!) excellent quality. If you haven't checked out A"mazonBasics" yet it would be worth your while. Most are electronic based now and I'm hoping Amazon will branch out into other departments.
