My 7 year old received this Bloombox as a Christmas gift in December of 2008. Sadly, the CD player did stop working today (after 7 months) just as other reviewers have mentioned. The current price on Amazon is OUTRAGEOUS!! Do not pay $60+ for this CD player, it's not worth it (ours cost around $30 last Dec from Amazon). My daughter is upset because she can not listen to her favorite music in her room until we find a good replacement. Cute radio, bad quality.Digital camera Review: CD player broke after 3 months. Our daughter used this player frequently in the 3 months she had it. She loved that it was pink, she loved the flashing lights when you pressed the jewel button, she loved her princess music over and over and over again. But then it suddenly stopped recognizing the CD. It wouldn't spin or anything, the display just said "no" (as in no CD inserted). At first taking the CD out and reinserting did the trick but very quickly even that didn't work. The display now shows odd, nonsensical characters and the player is completely nonfunctional. The radio still works but does a 4 year old really want to listen to the radio? No! She wants to listen to her princess music. Our daughter was very gentle with this product as I don't allow them to misuse any of their toys. This is just another poorly foreign- made "disposable" electronic item. I feel bad for my girl because it is past warranty and we no longer have the receipt or box and buying another $40 radio after 3 months is preposterous. Shame on Emerson. My daughter received this for x-mas. I returned due to the CD player not working. I returned it to Toys R Us and they didn't have another in stock. I then purchased it through Amazon.com and it arrived with a CD player that wouldn't work yet again. I'm going to return it and not buy another.Digital camera Review: Cute Bloombox

Got this cute thing as a gift 10 months ago and used periodically and my 4 year-old was able to use it. All it did was sit on the shelf and occasionally play cds. Two days ago it stopped recognizing cds. I called Emerson Radio customer support and it would cost half-again as much to return and replace. I don't think it is worth it and won't be paying for replacement.
