Digital camera reviews of Barska BlackBlackhawk 20-60x60 Waterproof Straight Spotting Scope w/Tripod, Soft Carry Case & Premium Hard CaseDigital camera Review: Great Price, Great Product Summary: 5 Stars
I was needing something for 25 yards to 100 yards, and something I could get past my wife. Well this turned out to be just the ticket. It does have both a hard case as well as a soft case, although not of great quality, the hard case does protect the scope very well. Other people will be able to give you advice about the sharpness view, the lens, and abunch of other specs, but what I needed was a simple scope that was resonable priced, and capable of doing the job. I was not disapointed.
Digital camera Review: Great little scope! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first scope and I love it. It's so light and easy to use. The hard case is wonderful for traveling. The whole package was well worth the money.
Digital camera Review: Great scope for the price Summary: 5 Stars
I really was surprised by the function of the lens caps. The cap over the sight lens is threaded on. That keeps it from getting lost by falling off. Really clear field of vision.
Digital camera Review: Great scope, great package at a great price Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this scope to zero in my AR-15 at about 100-yards. It worked well, and I can see my bullet holes up to about 150-yards. Beyond that, I can focus on my target, but struggled to count the number of bullet holes. This scope is great for the $109 price, especially with the extras you don't get with the more expensive brands. And it held up well against my friend's expensive $450 Leupold (that he got without a tripod or hard case). Unfortunately I needed something strong (good up to 300-yards), and returned this scope for the Barska Benchmark 25-125X88 for $15 more.
My advice, pick the magnification power that fits your needs and expectations. Then compare prices before comparing brands.
Digital camera Review: Great start for those in need of a decent spotting scope Summary: 4 Stars
First off, good value for the price. The contents included are more than some of the competition. That said, the included tripod works fine although it isn't the best quality, it is quite sturdy and does the job on a bench table or tabletop. The scope's quality is good, optics are a 3.5 out of 5. I purchased this scope for the range and it was worked fine for 300 yards. I haven't had the opportunity to test it out at a range with more distance. The starting 20x is definately too much for close distances, so if you are thinking about using for close distances in the 5-15 yard range, I would look at another scope with a smaller starting magnification. The included hard case does a great job, it has plently of room for the tripod (if you unscrew the handle), scope, and extra items as well.
Overall I like the scope as it did what it was suppose to do and it didn't cost enough to make you think twice about your purchase.
