I ordered this to fit my Dell 1750 with the larger battery. It completely fits and I have plenty of room for the power cord and mouse. It is easy to wear and dosen't fall off my shoulders. The Belkin 17" Messenger bag, is a modern design bag, I like the velvet suede feel of the pocket that the laptop slides into. Has many zippers on the outside and on the inside. I thought I would be able to fit more in the bag, but it is a tight fit. Overall, I look forward to using this bag in the future, I needed one and this will work until I need it for something else.
I really liked the chocolate color, for some reason it was $100 more though.

I've been looking for a 17" laptop case since Jan 2007. I searched everywhere in Dubai for something that is unique and inexpensive but couldn't find anything. This case has all I want, it's very light, well padded, unique color, well organized (sleeves and pockets), and spacious. I don't need to go out with two bags anymore, the case will take my books and papers.Digital camera Review: Excellent Bag!

This bag is wonderful!!!
Very well padded without being bulky. It has a sleek streamlined appearance, yet feels durable and sturdy - I feel very confident that my laptop will be well protected. Very well made with lots of conscientious details incl: an inconspicuous handle (made of the same fabric as the bag) that can be used instead of the long strap, velor lining for the compartment where the laptop is stored, many extra little slots and pockets for storage inside, 1 large and 1 medium sized zippered compartments on one exterior side, and 1 large velcro'ed compartment on the other exterior side that can be used to stash the non-removable strap. The fabric is a top notch water repellent textile and the overall construction of the bag is great, even better than I anticipated. My only minor issues are: 1. the actual color of the red details is a more toned down (almost burgundy) color than the bright red it appears as in the photo and 2. yes, as the other reviewers have mentioned, the strap although very comfortable, does not adjust much (very, very little) and will fall at the waist or lower depending on your height. All in all HIGHLY recommended!
