Digital camera reviews of Belkin 7-Foot Stereo Link Cable for iPodDigital camera Review: Much better than the cheap cables Summary: 5 Stars
I use this to connect my iPod and laptop to my stereo by my couch. I've been through a few of the cheap $2 cables and while they work fine, they eventually break from everyday use and I needed something a little beefier. This cable works great, the quality is great, the connectors are metal and feel a lot more solid than the plastic ones. the cable itself is a little thicker and feels like it has more insulation on it. No hum or buzzing on the sound. I can't comment on whether it's perfect because I'm running the sound into a 15 year old Sony hi-fi combo stereo (the RCA input is labelled minidisc) but it sounds just as good as CDs I play on it. Well worth the $10. I just wish it was a little longer, but that's my fault for not measuring
Digital camera Review: Nice Construction, long cord, and actually works Summary: 5 Stars
I was skeptical that this would work because of the difference in impedance between the headphone jack and the RCA audio jacks. However, this works perfectly. No hum or other unwanted sounds are added to the audio signal.
Digital camera Review: Nice price Summary: 5 Stars
Looked around and especially at Apple store, found this one at Amazon with cheaper price.. Love it
Digital camera Review: Nice product Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this because I saw it in a store, but they could not beat Amazon's price with free S&H and no tax. It looks really nice and works great. I have an aux input device installed in my stock stereo for my car, and the audio from the mp3 player is great, especially coming from my car speakers. The white and silver is a nice touch, but since its in my car, it gets dirty pretty quickly.
Digital camera Review: OMG, why'd I wait so long??? Summary: 5 Stars
I was going to purchase this product but couldn't wait and went to Best Buy and picked up a similar cord for $17. On the way home my husband needed to stop at Lowes so I went in and found another one, Phillips brand, for $7 so I picked it up too. (Returned the one to Best Buy later.)
I had my doubts because I'd done some googling beforehand. Some said to expect poor sound quality. Others said that you really should get an 'official' docking station and not use the headphone jack on the ipod as your interface to your reciever. We have a Yamaha RX-V661 receiver and there are a lot of red and white thingy bobs on the back to choose from. I picked phono at first and was feeling very disappointed. The reviews were right, sound quality was awful. But I wasn't ready to give up eventhough my husband decided to use the electric knife sharpener while I was trying to get this rigged up. Anyways I plugged the red and white ends into the CD Audio In (you have to really push to get them in) and viola it worked!
I think the sound quality is great. The 6 foot cord allows me to have the ipod next to me so no remote control needed. I can use the reciever remote to adjust the volume. For 7 bucks I'm a happy camper. I can't believe I waited so long. It's great using your ipod music library on your home stereo. I'm sure this product for $10 is a great buy. I wouldn't hesitate.
