Digital camera reviews of Belkin AG110030-04 Energy-Saving Surge Strip for Home Theater

Digital camera Review: Expensive waste of money - did not work.
Summary: 1 Stars

This expensive strip is supposed to have a remote switch for the outlets that can be turned off. I see others have given this item good reviews, and if it worked, I'd be very happy, I think.

But it doesn't work - our remote switch does not turn on/off the power to those outlets. So this was a total waste of money, as we would have to climb behind our media center to turn off the power with the button on the surge strip.

We did have power to the remote, we did try resetting the jumpers on both power strip and remote - nothing worked at all.

Digital camera Review: Fantastic product/ extra remote information.
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is fantastic. It works just like a wireless door bell. If you need and extra switch as i did( one for my computer desk, the other next to the bed) then you can get one from belkin. A new switch is 13 dollars and it cost me 7 dollars to ship to Florida. (update) Have been using for 3 months several times a day with out any problems with the switches.

Digital camera Review: Fully switch off power
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been using this power strip for about 9 months now with no issues. I installed (with the included double sided tape) the remote switch to the wall right by the light switch for the living room. When we go to bed, it is easy to just push both switches. We use the "always on" plugs for the cable box/dvr and the remote control charger. The receiver, TV, dvd player and Wii all go on the "power saver" plugs. This is particularly useful for the Wii, as there is no real way to power it off otherwise. As a caution: you should always turn the appliance power off with its own remote before cutting the power at the power strip. You can damage your TV if you repeatedly shut it off by using he power strip.

Digital camera Review: Good Idea, Great Implementation
Summary: 4 Stars

I've got this unit currently attached to my 52" LCD, PS3, TiVo, SDV Adapter, a pair of controller chargers, and then soon a Mac Mini. While it's a GREAT idea, the implementation was pretty good too, especially for the price. The best part is that you can have one remote control multiple units, or multiple remotes control one unit. This is done through the setting of dip switches. The switch itself could be a bit better, and takes a strange little battery which leaves a bit to be desired, but all in all this wouldn't stop me getting another.

Digital camera Review: Good device, could use more "always active" ports
Summary: 4 Stars

I wish it had more than 2 always active ports. Otherwise a really cool device. Not much to say that other's haven't covered.
