I love this surge protector. It helps me to save money on my energy bill, as well as neatly providing power to all of my computer accessories. The fact that there's a remote helps so I don't have to bend and go underneath my computer desk to turn on the power for the sockets that aren't designated to stay on all of the time.Digital camera Review: Great Product

I just started using this product. I really like the remotes. I place the one for the computer and accessories on the corner of the desk. When I am done I just push the button and that is the end of wasted electricity. I haven't found a permanant place for the one for the tv, but I like the fact that I don't even have to find the remote for the tv, cable box etc. Just one button and everything is off. I will not be able to say how much I saved since this is a new place for me, but I did give a couple as a gift for Christmas and both have said they've seen a drop in their electric bill.Digital camera Review: Great Product. I converted my home entertainment components to the Belkin remote control power strip. I saved $20 dollars on my first electric bill using this product. It has paid for itself in just two months. It's a really great concept, but the receiver in the strip stopped working after a few weeks, so the remote doesn't actually turn it off. And I wish it had three outlets that were always on, instead of just the two it offers. But I love that you can turn off most of the electronics in my home theater (Blu-Ray player, TV, game console, etc) while leaving on the few devices that need to stay on (DVR, cable modem).
I don't know how many others are having the remote problem, but I wish I had kept the warranty information so I could get it fixed!

This is the second RC surge strip I bought (I also have the 8 socket one at my computer corner).
I connected all my game consoles, DVD player and TV to the regular sockets, cable modem and router to the "always on" sockets - but found out I need another "always on" one for my NAS (when several backup jobs failed), so I used another smaller strip, and multiplied the "always on" sockets to 4.
Stuck the remote over the La-z-boy - and there you go, lazy people's paradise :)
