Digital camera reviews of Belkin Armband Case for iPod nano 1G, 2G (Black)

Digital camera Review: A decent value for the money, but not for small arms or active runners
Summary: 4 Stars

I have been using this for two months now on runs with the Nike+ system, running about 60 minutes at a time, 5 times per week. The armband and rubber case work fine, although there are some minor problems, especially if you use this for running.

You can remove the strap so that you have just a nice protective cover for throwing the Nano in your bag, pocket, purse, whatever.

The protective screen cover is just a flimsy little stick-on piece of square plastic. But it seems to work. Be sure you don't accidentally throw it away with the packaging, as others here have noted.

You don't need to remove the Nano to attach the docking/syncing cable, Nike+ receiver, or anything else. There are openings at the bottom and top for access to the appropriate ports/controls on the Nano. The hold button is difficult to work through the small opening, though. I usually have to take the Nano out of the case to work the hold button.

Some possible problems:
- The adjustable strap is large. I have an average male build (5 ft. 11 in., 170 lbs.), and I have to tighten the strap almost to the tightest setting to keep it from slipping. I can easily imagine smaller persons (women, especially) having trouble with this.

- For running, because the strap is not very wide, the Nano tends to slip/move around on your arm a bit, especially if you do any kind of trail running. You can tighten the strap to prevent this, but then it will cut off the blood flow in your arm.

- There's no place to wrap or store any of the excess headphone cord. I wrap it around the strap, behind the Nano itself, where the strap goes through the casing. But because the strap is thin, wrapping the headphone cable like this can easily cause the strap itself to bunch up, and either cut off blood flow or allow slipping.

Bottom line: a good value for the money (about $11 when I bought it), especially compared with Nike's offering at $29, however for runners or others who will have active arm movements while working out, you'll probably end up needing something more comfortable and secure. For persons with smaller arms (smaller than the average male build), it may not be possible to tighten the strap enough.

Digital camera Review: A great deal!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am so pleased I took the risk and bought this cheap protective cover and workout band for my Nano. It is awesome. I love that the protective cover isn't made of fabric - it doesn't absorb sweat and become smelly. The arm band fits well - I was particulalry worried about this, because a few reviewers had said that the arm band was too big for their arm. I am miffed as to how this could be the case, because I have pretty small arms, and it's not a problem for me. Don't waste your money on the Apple Nano sleeve!

It fits great and suits its purpose! Also half the price then a Nike arm band!

Digital camera Review: A great purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

I agree with everyone that has posted a positive review. This Belkin is outstanding, I use it every day for my outdoors bike exercises. It is easy to use, comfortable, stylish and a good protection for your pod from minor bumps.
The only drawback would be it is not easy for little people. My 8 year old has a hard time strapping it around the arm, I need to loop it around a couple of times. Other than that a great purchase!

Digital camera Review: A little difficult to wrap around arm
Summary: 3 Stars

The rubber casing is great, but the arm band is a little bulky and somewhat of a production to hook through the rubber casing and wrap around the arm. I don't have experience with other products, but I can't help but think there should be an easier way to get this done every time I go for a run.
