Digital camera Review: Great! Except for the Switch

I love the concept of this product and would easily give it a higher rating but the remote switch is the weakest link. After three weeks, the switch failed. It intermittently working then stopped all together, When I took it out of the wall holder, it actualy came apart. I return the whole unit to Amazon, which I give five stars for their prompt return service. The second switch has worked better but there still are times when I press On or Off and nothing happens. Trying a second or third time works. I hope the engineers at Belkin read this and improve this one flaw in an otherwise great product.Digital camera Review: Does help you save energy

I really like this product and use it in my quest to lower my energy bill. This product eliminates phantom loads that devices draw even when turned off. This strip eliminates that when you click it off. The only feature of the product I don't like is that you have to use the remote control to click off the devices.
I prefer a device that turns everything off when you turn off your controlling device.

My wife and I purchased 2 of these strips to use with our entertainment center and our home office and have really been enjoying them. Other than saving you money, the best thing about these strips is that they make you think about your power consumption. By actively having to 'switch off' your power you don't leave your Blu-Ray player on all night (I'm guilty of that). The design is great too, with the simple function of the device being akin to a light switch, it's as easy as walking out of a room and turning the light off to turn off the power to your devices. I like this product as it saves me unwanted wastage of electricity which happens in this country with no switches provided for most of the outlets (Crazy!!)
