This is a good little device, except for one very important thing. According to Belkin, the device cannot be used in 240 volt systems. Here is what Belkin support says:
"Well you cannot use the mini surge protector in 240 volts systems in Europe and Asia because this is designed to only use in United States it can support the voltage of only United States."
So, don't buy this device if you are planning to travel in Europe, Asia, etc., where the electrical systems are 240 volts.

I read lots of reviews and worried that it would be bigger than I thought and that I would have trouble charging my iphone and a second USB thing at the same time (at least one reviewer said it only charged one at a time). I charge my original iphone and ipod (3rd gen) just fine simultaneously. I also feel it is the size it needs to be considering it has 3 outlets that are surge protected on it. It is bigger than if you got one of those outlet expanders, sure but this is a surge protector with USB sockets on it too, Sheesh! Since the plug does not retract the shape makes it awkward and suspect that is part of the problem for those who say it is too big. I wonder if it would be possible to put the outlets in a different configuration to allow space for adapters without making it larger (i.e. put one on the other end (opposite USB) or on the top or bottom). Anywho, I am happy with it since I sometimes work in remote areas where power supply can be inconsistent and I worry about surges.
