Digital camera reviews of Belkin BZ103050vTVL Mini Surge Protector/Dual USB ChargerDigital camera Review: Good but... Summary: 5 Stars
This product does what its supposed to except its supposed to have a "swivel" feature so you can rotate it to a desired position. There is a release button and it never released. I dont know if it was just my unit, or a flaw with them all but it would have been helpful if it would have done what it said it would. Otherwise, it functions to charge things with the usb and mini usb with no problems.
Digital camera Review: Good for road warrior Summary: 5 Stars
This was a good unit for the price and handy for road warrior" portable computer applications in hotels or for locations where you bring your portable and data projector and are not sure of the quality of the power (school auditoriums). USB charger works with iPod and other electronics.
If you just want to charge your iPod, you should get the Apple adapter because it is more compact.

Digital camera Review: Good for the Road Warrior Summary: 5 Stars
Great little power strip/charger for travel. A little larger than I'd like, it does take up less space than all the chargers it replaces. The power strip is very handy when hotel room power receptacles are limited. The rotating plug is a nice feature, but the directions don't mention this important feature.
Digital camera Review: Good for travel, will not charge iPad. Summary: 4 Stars
Very handy little device. I've been carrying one of those outdoor power splitters when I travel because hotels never have enough outlets. In fact, the nicer the hotel, the fewer outlets are available What's up with that?
Anyway, this thing does exactly what I wanted it to do except that it doesn't seem to have enough power in the USB charging ports to juice up the iPad. If you are getting this with the hope that it will charge your ipad and iphone without bringing your chargers, look elsewhere, or at least bring your ipad charger too.
Digital camera Review: Good idea, falls short on protection Summary: 2 Stars
This would be great if it had better surge protection, though it is bulky. As an earlier reviewer said, 800V clamping is too high (the voltage level at which surge suppression takes place). UL 1449 best rating for transient voltage surge suppression is 330V. It's better than using nothing to connect an inexpensive device, but I won't use it for my laptop. Interestingly I had called Belkin sales (and the rep checked with tech dept) to ask why I should feel comfortable connecting my computer to this, and they said I should use 330V protection. So for my MacBook Pro I bought the APC P1T, which only has 1 elec outlet and doesn't have USB, but it's rated UL 1449 330V and is smaller.
