Digital camera Review: It Works!
Summary: 4 Stars

First off, the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is because it's a little big....but this really, really works! I shopped for quite a while reading and talking to people about the issue of short battery life in the iPods and what they did to combat this and this is my best case solution. I travel a lot and on a plane it gives me plenty of power for that cross country flight on my 30 gig iPod. I have only changed the batteries twice and I've had this for about a year (I usually try to wait before I review an item) and it's still going strong. It's a quality built unit and easy to use...put in the batteries, plug it in the bottom of your iPod, and switch it on...done! It uses AA size batteries so you can go with single use or rechargeables and not have to worry about charging this thing as well as you iPod before a trip. That was my hot button, the fact that I didn't have to charge a re-useable battery pack with another charger chord to get this thing to work, so the size and weight is a non-factor to me. This is a straight forward solution to getting your iPod to work for a longer time period of time...and for an affordable price! Definitely recommended.....and it works!

Digital camera Review: It works with a 40GB IPOD
Summary: 4 Stars

I see lots of comments that this item does not work with a 40Gb IPOD. Well, it works with mine and must add works very well. I use it when my IPOD battery runs out and gives me more time that would otherwise have. Never experienced any scratchy music or overheating as some have mentioned. Yeh its bulky but then charge your ipod before your run so you won't have to log this with you.
Take it for what its supposed to do - It add that extra life to your IPOD that would not otherwise be there - Whats the alternative - No MUSIC - Take your pick.

Digital camera Review: It would be great if it was ...
Summary: 1 Stars

It would be great if it was able to work with the belt clip. I got home with this battery pack and was anxious to put it to use but I was baffled by the design. I work an 8 hour day and the ipod's internal battery only last about 6 hours. This battery pack was the perfect solution at a pricy $60 bucks. It has two large suction cups to hold the battery pack against the ipod. Strange, but ok. Then I realized the suction cups would have to stick to the belt clip and they don't hold the suction. Also, there were no holes in the belt holder for the wire. I went down to my local Apple store and showed the problem to the tech guy. He was surprised by the design flaw too. He suggested I call Belkin and see if they have a solution. I couldn't be the first one to call them with this problem. Monday mourning I called Belkin and talked to there tech guy. He was unhelpful and gave my case to somebody else who was going to call me back in an hour. I never got a call back. I was surprised by Apple supporting this item on there web page.

If you plan to use this battery pack "on the go" you need to use something like a fanny pack or rubber band the battery pack to the belt clip.

Digital camera Review: Just what I needed for my long flight.
Summary: 5 Stars

The Belkin battery pack for my iPod really saved the day when I was on a long flight to Europe. It gave me a few extra hours of viewing and listening time. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has to take long trips out of the country and can't charge their iPod. Great!!

Digital camera Review: Lasts long, doesn't charge
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this before going on a trip overseas, and didn't regret it! I didn't have any cords to recharge my iPod 30G, or adaptors for foreign outlets, but really didn't need them with the backup pack. It uses 4 AA batteries. You can push a button to see when you're low on battery juice. I wish that it would actually CHARGE the iPod, but I suppose that would wear out the batteries pretty quickly. One other drawback is that it's bulky and I have to take my iPod out of it's case to use it. But overall, it's great if you need a temporary backup when you might otherwise run out of juice.
