This is my second Belkin Stand from Amazon. the first one I received lasted 2 hours only. I emailed Amazon.com and they were very nice and said to return it and they would replace it free within 30 days. Amazon actually had the new one here before I sent off the broken one. The replacement is working just fine and i've had it now for about 3 weeks. They had emailed me a prepaid postage return label to send the first one back. it was a smooth transaction. This is my first cooling stand of any kind so i have nothing to compare it to but I love this one..It does a great job of keeping things cool.Digital camera Review: Belkin Cooling Stand

I like this product as long as it is sitting on the table. If you have this product on your lap it is unstable so you must turn it around and it will work better, the USB cord for the fan is a little snug when you use this product backwards.Digital camera Review: Belkin F5L001 Laptop Cooling Pad

I already owned one of these, which I liked, so I bought another one, for my son's laptop. This one works well on a desk or on my lap when I'm sitting in my easy chair (the inlet fan is in the center, and the air flows in OK between my knees). I think all such pads have a problem of air intake if you sit them on top of a blanket or such. It keeps my laptop nice and cool. I love this product! It's practically noiseless and plugs right into the usb port on your laptop - so there are no extra cords in the way! There are a lot of similar products available in the market. Several that I researched appeared to be flimsy and not worth the money. Several have poor or bad reviews. This device works as advertised and is keeping a 9 year old Dell Inspiron 4100 cool after most if not all the cooling fans have failed in it. I would not run this old notebook continuously for hours, but for the short term that it is used, it now stays cool enough to keep from failing.
