I needed a KVM switch for my windows PC and my Macbook w/DVI. At first somehow I couldn't get it working. The LED light on the switcher wouldn't turn on. Maybe it was because it wasn't fully plugged in. After a while, I got it to work and was glad to find that the switch from mac to pc was pretty quick. I switch between a Vista machine and Leopard on the mac w/Logitech keyboard/mouse. Sometimes the switching back to windows it takes a more than usual. But most of the time I am pleased with it. For those looking for a KVM solution, I would definitely recommend this. Good productDigital camera Review: Good product!

Great concept, great product design, but poor technical execution. This device will work for most people, but I use it with a 30" monitor at 2560x1600 resolution and there's an incredible amount of noise on the screen with PCs. I've tried it with four flavors of PC video cards (nVidia an ATI) and they all exhibit the same noise problem. Coincidentally, the noise problem is not as prevalent when the KVM is switched to my MacBook Pro. I returned one to get another just-as-defective unit. I would advise against this if you intend to switch at 2560x1600 resolution.Digital camera Review: Great switch

The physical layout is perfect for my application. In addition to the included switch, you can perform a software switch with an icon on the screen.

Just received the unit today and it was truly plug-and-play. I am running an Intel Mac Pro and a Unibody MacBook Pro with a 23" Cinema Display. Since the mouse plugs into the mac keyboard, I use the USB mouse port on the KVM for a Wacom Tablet. Took about 15 minutes to get it all set-up, but everything has worked great. The dual screens are great with the MBP.
My only slight complaint, and the reason for the four star review, is that there is a slight quality degrade that I noticed when the screensaver is on. (You can see a refresh line running up the screen occasionally.) I have not noticed it any other time than when the screen saver is on. I use my system for graphic design work, and there are no other quality issues as far as I can tell. Totally compatible with Macs and easy to use. Highly recommended by this buyer!
