I have ordered, installed and have been using this cable for over a couple months now and , what can I say, it's a 'wire with connections on either end' that I have connected to my scanner from the PC. It seems to be working fine and I have no problem with it. I gave it 4 stars only because I'm sure there are better ones on the market for a lot more money, but for my purpose, this one works fine. I priced other cables in retail stores and found them to be about twice the price for about the same quality.
