Digital camera reviews of Belkin Laptop Sling Bag

Digital camera Review: Stylish laptop bag, but with limited room for much else
Summary: 4 Stars

First up, I knew what I was getting into when I saw the bag's size profile -- not something you can fit your lunch box into without careful item placement. With that expectation, this is a fantastic bag -- stylish, easy on the shoulders, easy to run with (very low bouncing), ridiculously easy to tighten the straps i.e. decrease the strap length if it gets loose with time (front-right, slight pull does it). The front-click method of ensuring tight fit works well once you get used to it.

Now comes the "does size matter?" part: Here's what my bag will take in before beginning to strain - 12" laptop, power chord, sundry accessories (pens, sunglasses, 1-2 cereal bars, etc), a notebook and some papers. Now, if you add a regular 1.5" tall plastic container with your day's lunch, zipping down with be challenging. *However*, you can still fit in a regular steel water bottle in the external pocket -- which is fantastic!

All in all, highly recommended for folks with laptops and not much else.

Digital camera Review: Love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this bag! I was using one of the company issue bags that came from my employer and it was driving me nuts for at least 6 months. I'm so glad I looked for a comfortable....yet very fashionable alternative. I looked at many other bags but kept coming back to this one.
This bag is both functional and easy on the eye!
Functional: the strap is super comfortable. There is a lot of space in the main compartment for such a slimline bag! I have a 15 inch computer and there is lots of space remaining. I'm not sure but I think it would easily fit a 17" too. The weight of the bag is nicely distributed across your back even though it only has one strap.
Good looks: It looks great all round what can I say! The velvet main compartment is a very nice touch to safely hold your laptop.

Digital camera Review: Very nice
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this with my Vaio Z series when I travel. It's great for chucking through the airport and walking around town. I had some time to kill in Atlanta in July and wore it downtown while I walked to the Coke museum. It never felt hot or uncomfortable. It it just big enough for your laptop, charger, accessories and a couple other small items like a camera. It's not going to hold any more than the essentials for your computer. Does a nice job keeping it protected.

Digital camera Review: Loved it, now I hate it!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this from Amazon a little more than a year ago as I thought it was perfect for my laptop. I've traveled with it several times, and it's worked perfectly. However, two weeks ago after going through security, both zippers were broken and it is now unusable. It supposedly has a lifetime warranty, but two requests for help from Belkin have gone totally unanswered. I'm very disappointed; thus my "loved it, now hate it" opinion!

Digital camera Review: Functional, trendy and comfortable!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this bag for lugging my 15" laptop around at a blogging conference, and I was very pleased with the comfort and space afforded by this bag. I'm a smaller-busted woman, so the single cross-strap worked well for me, unlike a few other reviewers for whom it was less comfortable.

The bag sits a little bit off the back (resting more on top of the butt) which is great for ventilation, especially when you've just put a warm laptop in there. The laptop pocket is well-padded and easy to access. I also like the little matching bag that comes for holding your cables.

To keep the sleek profile of this bag, there's not a TON of extra storage space. Don't count on carrying binders and big books around. The small pockets on the inside of the main compartment can keep your little stuff organized - pens and business cards, etc. The vertical pocket on the outside is easy to access and has one internal pocket as well as an output hole for headphones. The horizontal pocket on the outside isn't very deep, but it's good for smallish things. The zipper pocket on the strap is ostensibly for a cell phone - but it won't work for a big phone. I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 and it fits in there pretty snugly. With a cover on the Blackberry, I can't zip that pocket. But it's a great little pocket for credit cards, ID, transit passes, etc.

The cross strap has lots of room for extension. I tightened it up a lot in the summer, but I have plenty to let out to make it easy to wear over a coat this winter. The padding is comfortable and I think it's easier on my shoulders and back than a traditional messenger bag that pulls all the weight further down.

I got a lot of compliments at the conference on the look of this bag - it's a modern and fun take on the old clunky backpack. The chocolate color is a little bit lighter in person than it appears on my computer screen (think milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate), but it still looks great with the blue.
