Digital camera reviews of Belkin Mini Surge 3 Outlet Wall Mount with USB Charger

Digital camera Review: A Must Have for Gadget Freaks
Summary: 5 Stars

I always carry all these power adapters and there is never enough plugs in hotel rooms. This handy device takes care of all that. It is small and convenient. You can charge your iPod, iPhone or other USB powered device without having to carry another charger. I love mine, I am sure you will to.

Digital camera Review: A bit large but not too heavy-great piece of mind
Summary: 5 Stars

A bit large but not too heavy-great piece of mind. It does take up space in a laptop bag but after looking at it for awhile decided that for what it offers it couldn't be made smaller without sacrificing the extras it comes with. The standout feature is the rotating plug. Push a release button under the plug and turn the it so the device fits how you want it too. This feature allows the use of USB sockets without the sockets being blocked by another plug. Price was right too. Very pleased overall. Would by again.

Digital camera Review: A little bigger than I thought
Summary: 4 Stars

It sure is hard to tell how big this thing is from a picture. It's about as big as 2 cell phones if that helps. I'll probably just travel with the little AC to USB converter that comes with the new iPhone. It's MUCH smaller.

Digital camera Review: A typically well-made product from Belkin
Summary: 5 Stars

I own a lot of Belkin products, and with a few exceptions they're all well-made and well-designed. This one serves a common need-- power for a USB device, such as a cell phone or iPod-- and combines it with a surge supressor and outlet strip.

Mine powers an iPod Touch 3rd generation, and I have an electric blanket plugged in to the outlets. Nothing major. There are two USB power ports, one of which I'll likely never use. The plug cleverly swivels around 360° to orient the device the way you want it. The plastic plug cover pops off and onto the bottom of the unit to form a brace when you have it plugged into a wall socket-- whew, someone must have graduated summa cum laude in Industrial Design!

With so many positives, it's rather petty to mention this minor negative, but I will anyway. In the most common orientation-- in a vertical wall socket, with the unit plugged into the bottom outlet and swung so that it hangs straight down-- the USB power ports are pointing up. This may interfere with whatever's plugged into the top socket of the wall outlet. (I hope I'm making myself clear.) While you could as easily plug it into the top outlet and have one more socket than you started with, this is a puzzling glitch. There are, after all, several other ways that the USB sockets could have been arranged-- one on each end, for example.

Do I think this is a major design flaw? Nope. It doesn't affect my particular useage, and I doubt if more than one person in a thousand will even be mildly annoyed. If you're in the market for a USB power supply for home or office, I can't think of a reason not to buy the Belkin Mini Surge.

Digital camera Review: Belikin Wall Mount Surge Protector
Summary: 4 Stars

Well I bought the wall mount a few weeks back and I am happy with it.
It can swirl around and can fit into any socket plus it is handy and when you are not using it there is a cover for the prongs that you can use.
I recommend it to everyone as it can charge my blackberry ad ipod together and can also keep my laptop safe from surges and not just this it also give me more out of my single plug outlet.

really goo to use when you are somewhere out like star bucks or libraray where you are not sure about the sockets and the surges

Then it is inexpensive as well ($ 15)
