This product is one of the smartest purchases I've made in the past year. It easily handles 9 odd-shaped power plugs by alternating the pivot of the outlets. I left 3 spaces open on the side and can plug in additional electronics without issue. Ok, I realize surge protectors aren't exciting for the most part. But it is kind of exciting to find one that has connectors that pivot/adjust. I can't tell you how many surge protectors I have used that have ended with total frustration because I can't use all of the plugs. When you get oversized power supplies or heavy adaptors (think apple adaptors), it seems that all other surge protectors fail. And it is frustrating to only be able to use half of the outlets. With this one, 4 plugs on each side (for a total of 8) pivot--making it easy to plug in oversized power supplies next to each other because they don't cover up the other outlets. And it is such a dream for apple adaptors that tend to fall out of sockets if they aren't supported. With this, just tilt the socket and the adaptor rests on the floor while it is plugged in--and it never falls out.
For the sockets in the middle of the surge protector, I believe they can only be used with 3 prong plugs. When you use 2 prong plugs, they don't go in.
This product comes with an awesome warranty, much better than most I found. And it offers more protection than most surge protectors I found---and definitely the best for this price range. What the amazon write up doesn't tell you is that the warranty is void if you plug in medical equipment to the protector.
I would highly recommend this both for its quality and practicality. I will be buying more.

I have a ton of plugs exiting from my computer so I decided to invest in this surge protector, just so I can consolate everything. It hasn't failed me, and I was able to accomodate odd size plugs because of the extra spacing. Works great.

I live in an old brownstone apartment, the kind that happily sports one power outlet per room. I previously had two six-port power strips in my living room (hooking up a computer and a TV, plus all the other bits that go along with them, hard drives, routers, game systems etc). The two six-port strips were useful, of course, turning two outlets into twelve.
But of course, in a perfect world, one item's plug would not need to cover two ports! And of course, they all have delusions of grandeur, and some even wanted to cover three ports. So after some research, I found this gem. It's saved my living room from dying in a sea of power strips!
It was definitely a great resolution for the annoying plugs problem and worth every penny.
