Digital camera reviews of Belkin TuneCast Mobile FM TransmitterDigital camera Review: 7/10 for CAR use, 2/10 for use in a ROOM Summary: 1 Stars
I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT "0" STARS...BUT THERE IS NO OPTION FOR THAT :-(
First of all..no matter what kind of transmitter you use dont expect to hear CD quality sound, it hard to get, it might get better in noise free enviournment...again, which is hard to find in big cities.
i purchased Belkin tunecast from Best Buy, played in my car worked OK...but not quite clear ..if you move its position you can hear disturbance in the sterio...
well the reason i purchased it is, i wanted to connect my ipod to my home theater system, and this thing totally SUCKS in that..it has a lotta noise its like running my music from a real beatup cassette player. if i place my ipod on top of my FM antenna of my home theater sys then there is a little improvement...but thats not what ppl buy it for ...it takes away the whole concept of making thing wireless...so I returned it the other day to Best Buy..(mind it, it might work for you, if in your area you dont have anything coming on FM 88.1 to 88.7,,,but in Phx, AZ its not the case)
but then i found SIIG FM transmitter in Fry's Electronics..and i would say it is much better than Belkin...i would give it a definite 10/10 for car usage and 7/10 for home usage..it gives you a better manuverability inside your room....well i have never heard of this company though..but i thought of giving it a shot ...and it worked...despite belkin known for its wireless products, has made this thing which is a total screwup!!
anyways..if you guys find anything better post it here!! but for car I highly recommend SIIG FM transmitter which has 5 selectable freq and sells for $20 in Frys..and for home its a loooot better than Belkin but not the best!!
