Digital camera reviews of Belkin TuneTalk Stereo for iPod 5G, 5.5G (Black)Digital camera Review: AMAZING sound quality! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this attachment to the iPod in order to record some official school IEP meetings for which I needed legal documentation--so pretty important stuff. Now, speaking as a person who didn't even know what an iPod was when my husband got one 2 years ago, this was pretty easy to use. You just plug it in at the bottom and push the button to record. Push again to stop recording and you automatically get prompted to save. The sound quality is wicked good. I had the machine sitting in the middle of a conference table and it was able to pick up all the voices around the table. The detriment to using a traditional tape recorder is that those things often pick up the white noise from its own motor running (and sometimes the sound of the vibration of its motor while sitting on top of the table) and the quality is thus compromised.
I'm thrilled with this purchase. A price worth it's contribution to making my life easier.

Digital camera Review: Almost Perfect Summary: 4 Stars
This is a really nice and useful product. I use it with my 5th generation 60G iPod Video (even while encased in a silicon skin). I don't know why there are complaints about the sound of the hard drive spinning, but my iPod is always updated with the latest firmware so I never had any problems from the start. I always use the highest setting so the sound quality is awesome both for voice and music. The built-in mics are a compromise and we should not expect too much from it except for voice memos. For music, the best would be to get a direct feed from a mixer or instrument via the line-in or invest in the Audio Technica Stereo mic (and even then you have to be careful about WHERE you position this set-up). Also, make sure you have a power source attached for long recordings. Here's a tip; I use my PSP's mini USB cable (really short) with an iPod USB AC power adapter - it works! My gripes are mainly with the user interface which does not allow for any flexibility. But we can rename the files after the fact anyway. Overall, a really cool product and a must have for iPod users that need to have an audio recording capability.

This little thing impressed me a lot. If you search on amazon for a decently priced digital hand held recorder, you won't find one, they start around 150 bucks unless you want to get one that only has the frequency range for voice recording. This thing has great quality sound, I have a small recording setup in my house and decent experience with different microphones and the sound quality that this device delivers is impressive. The interface is very easy, you plug it in and access it in your menu, or if you are in a hurry there is a button on the side you can press to instantly start recording. If you don't think that the sound quality is good enough there is an option to plug in another mic into the bottom of the device. I use this at live shows, i can get direct output from the mixer, so i can plug a 3.5mm stereo jack (headphone jack) into the bottom of the tunetalk and the other end into the "headphone out" on the mixer and it will record everything that is going through the mixer out to the PA. This gives much much better sound quality than if i were to just put my ipod on the stage to record. Great device, great price. I highly recommend it.

I use this to record my band's practices. Works AWESOME! Great quality, easy to use. The new cassette recorder for the ages. Great price, too.
Digital camera Review: Amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this item and I am amazed at the sound quality of the recordings! I write music and it makes it easy for me record my song ideas. I can put my ipod/TuneTalk on the table and play and sing from a short distance away, and the recordings come out amazingly crisp and clear....even if there is more than one person singing! I am so happy with this product! It is much better than having a separate hand-held recording device. I don't have to carry anything other than my iPod...And, best of all, all of the recordings, voice or music, are stored right into iTunes and they can be easily transferred onto my PC, where I can sinc them into my iTunes library on my desktop or send the files via email. It's really a terrific little recorder! I highly recommend it!
