Digital camera Review: Awesome improvement on sound quality, kills battery though

I have a first generation iPod and now acquired an iPod with video. I record all of my lectures on the first generation iPod with two different devices, one a Griffin and one a Belkin. I can hear the lectures just fine, but have to strain my ears sometime once the lecturer starts pacing. I acquired the Belkin Tunetalk Stereo for iPod Video and wow! what a great difference. I played the recording and the quality is spectacular. I could actually hear the the whole lecture, very clearly.
The only thing is, it drains the battery. It does come with a cable that you can plug in into a USB port that charges the iPod's battery while it records. For longer lectures I would have to take my laptop to be able to keep the battery alive.
I love it, just a pity about the short life.

I would highly recommend this recorder. It works really well for recording lectures in a large lecture hall. At first I had a Micromemo by XtremeMac which wasn't nearly as good - it had lots of background noise and made it hard to hear the lecturer even after I optimized the recording by playing with the gain and using the "recorded voice" equalizer on iTunes.Digital camera Review: Belkin F8Z082-BLK TuneTalk Stereo for iPod Videos

Great product that is easy to use. A must have for recoring talks or taking notes using your iPod. It is small enough to put in your purse or jacket pocket. VERY glad I bought it...since I've used it every week since getting it. Wish the battery lasted longer between charges but the sound is excellent. I use it with my new 80Gb iPod.
Amazon has the best price for it as well. I shopped around LQQKING for deal..and found one.

Great product, easy to use. It does suck down the IPOD battery when you are recording. I got about 3.5 to 4 hours and would have to recharge my IPOD at lunch in an all day conference.
