I purchased this Belkin USB Ultra Mini Hub to use with my laptop, so that I could have one central place to plug in whatever I need to use, instead of using the ports on my laptop.
Iam not sure why in the product description it say you need a USB Cable, because there is a USB cable attached to the hub, and that is the part that you plug into the laptop, and then use the 4 ports for whatever you want to plug in.
I also didn't see in the package information that it is compatible with Windows 7, but it is.
I love that you just plug in this mini hub and you are good to go. I wish more products were that easy to install! There is a red light on the top that shows you it is working. I have my cooling pad plugged into the hub.
The price was excellent, and I have been purchasing Belkin Surge Protectors for years, in fact I just purchased 3 more a week ago, so I was familiar with the Belkin name.
The size is small, which is great. It does what it is supposed to do.

I love this product! Even though my laptop came with several USB ports, this little baby is a wonderful way to keep things orderly. We were so tired of connecting and disconnecting all of our gadgets to our family's Mac that we decided to pursue a USB hub. This Belkin product is at the same time extremely small and inexpensive. Don't waste your time looking for alternatives. This is the product for you if you need a few extra USB ports.
