Digital camera reviews of Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra-Mini HubDigital camera Review: Awesome and Tiny Summary: 5 Stars
This little thing goes with me everywhere. My only regret is that I wish I would have purchased a hub with more slots. However I have zero complaints about this one.
Digital camera Review: Awesome portable USB! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this USB and I never had any problems with it. You don't need to install any software which is great. I use it for my laptop mostly because I only have couple of USB slots, so this is a great tool to use to connect other peripherals. The price is just about right. I highly recommend this to everyone.
Digital camera Review: Awesome!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This little thing works great. It actually amplifies my Clear internet signal. Which is good since I was only getting 2-3 bars. I now get 6-8 using this.
It also works great with all my external hard drives, my mouse, and my USB sticks. One of my drives has a dual USB cord to help power it (see pictures), I need to have them both plugged in for it to work.
For the price this is a great deal!!!!
Digital camera Review: Awkward hub Summary: 2 Stars
I'm not happy with this hub. The line is very short and by the time you have connected four other USB lines to the hub, you have a mess. The issue is further exacerbated by the square layout of the hub which forces the connections to shoot off in four different directions. My USB port comes out of the side of the computer and using it makes the workspace at the side of the computer unusable.
It does however, work so I gave it two stars.
Digital camera Review: Awkward shape Summary: 3 Stars
It looks sleek in the picture, but it is rather inconvenient in practical use. As other reviewers have noted, the four ports being at opposite ends of the device mean that it is nearly impossible to organize your cables all in a row. One or two cables have to be sticking out in an odd direction.
Consider the layout of your USB devices before purchasing this. If you can picture cables coming in from four directions, then this hub should be nearly perfect. If you want everything going out the back of your workstation, then this hub will only get in the way. The cable that connects the hub to the computer is depressingly short as well, which increases the hindrance that the shape of the hub makes.
It cannot receive external power, but its speed otherwise is good. Ignoring physical design, the device performs well digitally.
