This is a huge addition to my Mac Book. With my laptop only having two USB ports packed tightly side by side, it was impossible to have more than 1 USB cable that wasn't slim hooked up. This port has eliminated that problem. It has worked great for me so far speed-wise and functionally. I will run an iPod, PSPgo, printer, phone charger, and camera off of it and I haven't noticed it being too slow with big file transfers. The price and the design(4 ports, each on 1 side of a small square) were huge buying points for me. When searching for multi-port hubs in June 2008 I found there are several choices and price ranges out there. I was familiar with the Belkin name and with a price of $11.25 each with no tax and shipping I bought two. I now see that some vendors sell this item for even less. The device works perfectly. I used it in conjunction with a 6' USB extension cable that I already had to provide for more mobility. Great product, serves its purpose. Connected 4 usb devices to it, computer recognized the devices right away. Bought it 5-6 weeks ago no issues with it.
