Digital camera Review: Cheap cable, subtle noise issues

For the price point, this cable is a great deal. I have it running across the room from a laptop to my home theater, and under most usage it works great. The only issue is some interference at high volumes, which doesn't show up in other cables that I have tried. I bought this Belkin cable to send audio from my PC to my digital TV. It was delivered pretty fast... except that when I connected it from my PC to my TV, no sound. I tried a different computer, same result. My computers send audio to headsets without problem from the very same audio output port where I connected the Belkin cable.
It's not my TV either because my DVD player sends audio to the TV without problem through red and white jacks similar to the ones on the Belkin cable. I also tried an analog TV and still no sound.
Looks like the cable is defective and seeing it's more trouble sending it back, I am just gonna throw it away. Very disappointing.

The cable I received was defective in the way it looked. There were bumps and unevenness on one side of the cable (one of the wires), while the other side was smooth the way cables normally are. It seems that there are seconds or irregulars in this cable being sold. Oh, another thing - the cable is very, very thin.
I realize some people may not care about the way the cable looks as long as it works. But for people that would like a cable whose quality looks good, you may appreciate this information.
I wasn't able to find any other brand of this type of cable in a 12 foot length online...

I probably didnt do something right but i got these along with a VGA cable to hook my laptop up to a tv.. couldnt get sound out of the tv with this cord. I just bought a hdmi cable instead of using this and the vgaDigital camera Review: Does its job

Not much else I can say other than it does its job with no noticeable interference. Just a tip: with all analog cables, quality deteriorates as length increases, so try to keep it to the length needed, and not any longer. Great price too.
