Digital camera reviews of Bluetooth USB 2.0 Micro Adapter Dongle

Digital camera Review: A Great Deal for the Price
Summary: 5 Stars

I had some doubts about this adapter because of the low price. But after seeing the positive reviews here I decided to take a chance.

I am very pleased so far. It was a plug and play installation with Windows Vista. I did not use the enclosed software.

It works well with my Motorola cell phone and my Motorola HT820 wireless headset. With the headset it has about a 25 foot range (through a few walls). The volume controls and the track advance/replay controls on the headset work with Windows media player.

Digital camera Review: Absolute Junk!
Summary: 1 Stars

I got two of these little buggers. Both are just plain ol' piles. Why? Because:

- 4/5 times I connected them, they didn't work. Their message said that Windows disabled them because they reported problems.
- If I DID get anything to connect to it, the devices would "bounce" so to say. They'd connect, then immediately be rejected.

I'm not too mad though. I'm not even out $10, so no big deal.

Digital camera Review: After many hours, I got this working in Windows 7
Summary: 3 Stars

I needed the following driver in order to get this thing to work properly is Windows 7:

nb_driver_s1024_win7_64_bluetooth_6.0.2005.0

download at

http://driverzone.com/device.php?id=256749

Do NOT attempt to update your driver after installing these. If you do accidentally, then just roll back your drivers.
I did many forum searches and read all manner of possible solutions, none of which did a darn thing. I gave up and came back hours later to give it one last go, and I finally found this Toshiba driver.

TOshiba?! Who knows who makes this dinky little doodad - some hack company in China, no doubt, going it independently or something - but Windows 7 (for me at least) had no idea what to make of it. It barely knew what to call the darn thing! One device name didn't even show up in an internet search. How does that happen?!

I don't know how long this puppy will last, but it's working fine for now. I only wanted something to receive a bluetooth mouse, and, once this thing finally knew what it was doing, or rather, once my computer knew what to do with it, it worked perfectly.

The blinky red light is a tad distracting, so I sharpied over it. It's much less bright now and I can use the thing without my eyelids going into convulsions every 10 minutes.

Digital camera Review: Agreed with others, waste of *time* AND *money*!

Well, I particularly enjoy how Amazon pairs up like items that are often bought together, this product happened to be one of them. For just a few bucks each, I figured, what the heck, three products will give me a greater chance of getting it to work right?

Turns out that was a bad idea...

This product came with no driver cd [which wasnt worst thing, because was not advertised as including it], but online drivers are sketchy at best. This thing is super tiny, and I practically could not get it unplugged thanks to an awkward usb port that is sunk in...Range is a few feet at best, so prepare to place the phone close by, and even then its not a sure thing.

Trying to connect my cell phone [Samsung A177] has so far burned a nice little hole in my wallet: from a USB charger/connect cable, to bluetooth adapters, and yet: no dice. I have officially given up. Unlimited texting includes multimedia content, so its easier [and cheaper] to just text to another phone or facebook/myspace.

Did not work for me. Might strap this thing to a rock/potato and launch it with the spud gun...

Digital camera Review: Amazing Product!
Summary: 5 Stars

I read so many bad reviews, that I had to try it and for the price it was the best choice. I have Windows 7 and I just plugged in the bluetooth into the USB port and I was ready to use it with my new Logitech keyboard. I lost the original bluetooth and got this one to try if it would work. I am writing this review with my new Logitech bluetooth keyboard and the USB dongle.
Great product, besides it is really cheap, why not?
I was searching for one at other stores and I am sure they are made out of the same stuff.
Go For It!
