Digital camera reviews of Bluetooth USB 2.0 Micro Adapter DongleDigital camera Review: Completely useless piece of hardware Summary: 1 Stars
I'm so glad I only really paid for shipping on this thing because it was a complete waste of money. It comes with a mini-disc with software that isn't hard to use, but it doesn't actually work. I bought a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard at the same time as this thing and it couldn't find either of them with the given software. In order to update the software to the latest version would have cost me $30+ because apparently you have to buy each update as if you never owned a previous version and I didn't feel like spending that much money with such low confidence in their software.
After giving up on their software, I tried uninstalling it and just using the generic Windows drivers. I was using Windows XP and trying to find a driver that Windows liked for this dongle proved to be impossible. The closest I got was using one that would work for about 5 minutes and then send Windows an error code 43, which makes Windows disable it with no way to just restart the service without restarting your machine.
So I've just about given up on this thing. Hopefully if you buy it it will magically work for you, but it's been nothing but a source of aggravation for me.
Digital camera Review: Couldn't get it working with any of my devices. Summary: 1 Stars
I tried using my phone and headset, and neither would connect properly or work with any software. I would recommend buying a more expensive, name brand bluetooth dongle that will work without problems.
Digital camera Review: Crashed computer Lost Internet connection Summary: 1 Stars
I installed the adapter and software and tried to connect to my cell phone. The phone recognized the device but I could not get it to connect to download photos. When I tried to go online for support I no longer had an internet connection, I got a notice my modem was unplugged, it wasn't. I restarted my computer and was prompted that I had three days to reactivate windows xp because of hardware changes. Since I still didn't have an internet connection I had to reactivate XP by phone. After reactivating and restarting the computer I still could not connect to the internet. I removed the adapter, uninstalled the software, and restarted the computer. I got my internet connection back and with that tossed this little fellow and it's software into the garbage.
Digital camera Review: DO NOT BUY. Summary: 1 Stars
If you're on Windows 7 64 bit (or maybe it's just me), this product will not work. I don't know whether my product came in defective or not, but after researching and installing multiple blue tooth stacks, it refuses to be recognized by my pc or turn on. I went cheap on my purchase, and this is what I get. DO. NOT. BUY.
Digital camera Review: DOA, be warned Summary: 1 Stars
So I figured, "It's cheap, why not!" Well it is cheap because it is a piece of garbage and was DOA. I'm not going to bother with a replacement, because the cost was so low. Buyer beware...
