Digital camera reviews of Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System - Graphite/SilverDigital camera Review: Best Computer Speaker ever used Summary: 5 Stars
I've used my Bose System for more than half years now, it is just truly amazing. The price may be a little bit expensive, but it worth it by all mean. I was amazed by the sound it produced. With just two speakers, it makes people feels like its surround sound. If you are looking for a high quality computer speaker, this is probably the best out in the market.
Digital camera Review: Best computer speakers I've ever heard :-) Summary: 5 Stars
In the computer store, I had some doubt as to whether these tiny little speakers would have good sound quality. After all, they are roughly 2 inches tall x 6 inches wide (not counting the woofer), and for many years, I used Boston Acoustic stereo speakers that were roughly 2 feet tall x a foot wide. I needn't have worried. I easily hooked these speakers up to my computer and the sound system is awesome! Far better than those Boston Acoustic speakers that were state of the art in the `80s, and better than the 7 year-old Labtec speakers I've used (which are pretty good.) I can't detect any distortion in the sound, and it has a 3-D feel to it. Music sounds fabulous on it. Highly recommended.
Digital camera Review: Best speakers, A treat for music lovers Summary: 5 Stars
I had a chance to compare these with klipsch speaker system, and I would say that the sound quality on Bose totally blows away the best Klipsch and Logitech speakers. While the later two do have a good bass, but thats the only thing about them. Bose's sound is so much more clear and quality is outstanding. Even the bass is better than the others. The price is high, but for those who really would be using this for serious music or movie experience, its definitely worth more than that. These speakers look very nice too, but that is the least of their qualities. I highly recommend these speakers.

Digital camera Review: Bose Companion 5 - too sharp Summary: 1 Stars
When the Bose Companion 5 arrived I was pretty excited. They had sounded so sweet in the Bose shop downtown. I set them all up which was pretty simple and played through all of iTunes. First thing that hit me was the so called "surround sound". It does sound pretty sweet but I wouldnt call it surround sound. The longer I played the more I felt they just werent good enough for the price payed, but what was worse was that the highs very extremely sharp and hurt my ears! Now, I know I have sensitive ears, but imagine not being able to listen to music because of that!! Thats just crazy. Most songs touched on the highs and it was a nightmare!! I asked around in online forums and such if it might be my laptop, my apartment, my soundcard... and tried everything that people told me without results. The Bose Companion 5 speakers were the problem! I sent them back, and got different speakers from axiom (a superb canadian company) which are a bit more expensive but about a million times better in sound quality! I dont have any problems with the highs anymore.
Pros: nice looks; small; "surround sound"
Cons: Highs extremely sharp (hurt!); too expensive for quality!
I wouldnt ever recommend them! Theres better stuff there for much less money!
PS: Also, BE AWARE that in a bose shop or even bose setup in another store, they can fix the room and everything so that the speakres will sound amazing while at your own place where you dont have all that they will sound mediocre. Just be careful!
