The Bose SoundDock is a remarkable product that gives great sound from your ipod but I have a problem with how Bose insists on forcing retailers to sell it for the same price. Bose can sell its product for whatever it wants to retailers but they in turn should be allowed to sell it to their customers for whatever price they wish. This policy is decidedly unfriendly to consumers as they are paying higher prices than what would be offered normally in a competitive marketplace. Until Bose decides to change its ways, this consumer won't be buying.Digital camera Review: A perfect solution!

I'll make this short and sweet. I have a small cottage that I go to on weekends. I take my iPod with me. And this Bose SoundDock is terrific. I saw a couple of one-star reviews down the list from a couple of cranky blokes...but these guys are happy to hook up their iPods to other external systems...and unfairly compare this compact solution to those. I just want to insert my iPod and have it play and charge! And not have to carry accessories! Well...this does the trick. And the sound is great. Now, if I had a 4,000 sq. ft. loft, then I'd need to get a receiver, speakers, etc. But if your room isn't massive, this Bose system is terrific. A lot of misinformation has been spread regarding the SoundDock by people that have a bias against Bose. I want to report my satisfaction with the SoundDock--unlike many of the unfavorable reviewers--from a reviewer who actually has this fabulous unit. I got it for my birthday, but had done the research and alternative comparisons in person. I am using this unit in my dining room and am happy to report that the SoundDock fills it with rich, deep music. I am particularly surprised by the bass response. I knew the highs would be crisply reproduced, but the sound of the bass really makes for a complete music experience. I love this product. So too, my dinner guests. I recently bought this speaker at the apple store in my town after several weeks of saving up and I could not be happier with my purchase. I have a 15 gig 3rd generation ipod that i use all the time and now that I have this speaker I use it more than ever. I have it placed in the corner of my room and it sounds like I have an enormous sound system in my room but its just a tiny speaker. I love bose and I love the soundDock!
