Big, full sound, looks shap, remote works fine. It doesn't support input of any audio source but an ipod, but you probably just want to hook your ipod anyways. If space for speakers is a concern, this can't be beat, but if you've got the room - I personally like the way my four-speaker JBL set up for 2/3 the price fills up the room better (and has a sub).Digital camera Review: Excellent sound - God forsaken power connection

The Bose SoundDock will give you excellent sound and very handy remote. The power connection is just plain awful. There are four little pins that connect the power supply to the back of the SoundDock - Be Extreemly Careful and do not break any one of them!!! I am very pleased with the Bose SoundDock. I am a bit of an audiophile, and appreciate the good frequency response and balanced sound. I also like the simplicity of the remote, and the two buttons provided on the SoundDock itself. Many of the Ipod based system do not deliver on the sounds. The sound on this system is very good and much better then the other systems. That being said the other ipod systems are geared to be mobil. This system requires that you plug it in and does not have a battery option. I knew this before purchasing the unit so I have no complaints on the unit. This system is super easy to to install and get going.
The only reason that do not get this unit 5 stars is because of the remote control. The remote works fine, but only has forwards/backwards plus stop/play with volume control. It would be nice to be able to select multiple playlist without having to get up and change it on the ipod.

Bose didn't let us down! I bought this for my husband's Christmas present. I did find that it is a good idea to set the iPod to "small speaker" setting. The bass it delivers is great! The overall sound is great! The remote is convenient, though doesn't have the biggest range. We have an open 2000 sq.ft home and this product absolutely fills the house with quality sound. A Bose product well-worth the Bose name.
