Digital camera Review: A more perfect solution

My iPhone 3G has sat next to me on the passenger seat of my car ever since I have had it. I hooked it up to an Griffin Technology iTrip FM Transmitter for iPod (White) and would play songs and audio books on my FM radio. This has not been a perfect solution since changing playlists usually disconnects the iTrip from the base of my iPhone. However I never felt the need to find a more perfect solution.
What changed my need was my purchase of new Navigon iPhone application which turned my iPhone into a first class GPS system. Now I needed to see the maps without having to look down and pick up my iPhone on the seat beside me. I looked at a number of options, but this holder has both a full range of mounting options for phones and dedicated GPS units. I was able to use an old XM radio mount to attach the holder but I could have attached it to an AC vent or even use the two sided adhesive to tape it to the dashboard.
Once attached the innovative grip easily grabbed my iPhone and hed it securely. The mount rotates to a landscape orientation, perfect for GPS, although i generally play books and music in the portrait mode. The iTrip connecter has not been displaced since I started using this mount, another plus.
